    001 did a tour as both a demonstrator and test (clearance and track circuits). It spent most of the second half of August around Edinburgh and was used as a shuttle for the Haymarket open day on the last weekend.

    SInce I posted the picture, I've discovered it was being used to launch Sprinter services in the North East and in fact worked the 11:15 Newcastle - Middlesbrough service the following day. It carries a headboard which says "Sprinter Link" in connection with the launch, perhaps it should have said here are the trains you are not going to get!

    It shows in that format because of the share settings you have chosen on your Flickr account so please don't go barking at other people who are utilising the tools enabled.

    My settings are "no downloads" and "no sharing". I don't think I was barking, it was a polite request in my view.

    Think I've got to the bottom of it, the picture above was from another Flickr site who I had allowed to use the picture, maybe that site's settings are different to mine :D.

    To celebrate the forthcoming EFE Rail model I thought I'd post some more pictures of the Comrie No.19 yellow peril....

    That first picture with the train at the level crossing is my copyright and I do't recall giving you permission to post it. Had you asked then I would probably given it but as you didn't, I'd like you to take it down please ASAP.

    The site it came from asked me if he could could use it.

    To answer your question about the 6-wheel Fish wagon; it is the sort the was used to carry stores from main works to the larger depots.

    Cambridge Custom Transfers do some for the 21t Minfit on their BL2 sheet, but they're of the pre-TOPS type. Railtec offer both pre and post TOPS ones, but currently only as 7mm. Perhaps they might consider down-scaling?

    I did ask the question about 4mm as I want 20-odd wagons worth myself but their response was to just keep watching the new releases section of their website.

  5. Chris Rea had an album out in 1979 called Deltics - can't be a coincidence.

    White Room by Cream includes the following lyrics;

    You said no strings could secure you at the station
    Platform ticket, restless diesels, goodbye windows
    I walked into such a sad time at the station
    As I walked out, felt my own need just beginning
