  1. OOCL Chongqing now in the med off Egypt having passed through Suez! (with K2103 on board) Due Southampton on 29th.

Hoping that it and whatever ship Hornby are using for the S15's don't arrive at the same time. A week apart would be good! :sungum:

  2. Hi Peter,

Looking great as always, never tire of looking at your layout. Something to aspire to!

Have always meant to ask you what signals have you used?

Hope to see you Saturday, two layouts running, weather should be brilliant compared to last year!  :sungum:

    Speak to you soon,

    Glenn

  3. Lovely job, well done Kernow and Mr. Jones. Two mainland BR versions duly pre-ordered.

    Cheers.

PS. My wallet didnt say a thing!

To quote myself, just for clarity.

I have no agenda other than to hopefully get my new baseboards together before I am seconded to do any bloody more gardening or decorating!

I'm happy these vans are being produced and available for me to pre-order.

I again congratulate Kernow and DJM for announcing this great looking piece of very useful rolling stock.

PS. Nothing in life is perfect, just accept it and enjoy (life that is).

    Regards G.

  4.

What is the problem if they voice concerns?

By all means voice concerns, but dont go on about it repeatedly and do it at the appropriate time. The opportunity to contribute something positive to the design process has long since passed. The train has left the station!!

  5. There is a difference between;

Well intentioned, constructive criticism, which either helps a manufacturer produce a better model, or which enables the modeller to make an educated choice of purchase.

    And

banging on ad nauseum about it.

I wholeheartedly agree. The time for input into design has long passed.

The time is now to wait and see what is produced, the proof is in the pudding!!

This forum as far as I see it is for modeling and inspiration, not axe grinding or band wagon riding.

I for one am sure that Kernow and the learned minds they have consulted in the whole process will produce a quality product.

  6. Given my interest in the South Wales valleys, and the more rural corners of Dorset, it was a given that I'd end up with one of these. And very nice it is too. Needs some running in - starts and stops are a bit abrupt - but it's smooth and quiet and looks great when running.

Thanks for these excellent photos of the model as it comes out of the box on what looks to be a great layout!

    Makes a change.

To be able to see what you actually get and the model in context is great, cheers

  7. Would you please point out the 'all too obvious' GWR King errors? Apart from running board detail and steam pipe to cylinders, fixed in my most recent picture in msg.9 in Rob's Images in Wheeltappers which cannot be shown here because of the moderator's complaint.

This isnt relevant to the thread either. Try a PM instead!

  8. The P2 looks like a nice loco but as it is not my time period or area of choice then I have no intention of getting one from either Hattons or any other purchase outlet. Just thought that I'd share that with people as it seems to be the thing to do..

Me either and despite the fact that my wallet is a completely inanimate object with absolutely no feelings whatsoever it is feeling relieved. Just thought I'd share.
