Good idea with the screws. We will see what we can do moving forward.

I have replaced mine with M4 x 20mm thumb screws from Amazon makes it much easier no need for screwdriver.

I think 16mm will fit as well. HTH

Ah right I see, apologies. I'm sure we can sort you out with one. Send us an email to cavalexmodels@gmail.com and we will get onto it as soon as we can.

I must say I had a red cradle leg missing on a HAA and after a quick email I had 4 spares within 2 days sent to me.

What a great service this was and I have no worries that if I have any issues with the 56's they would be sorted out with no hassle.

  3. Just had my Loadhaul 56 delivered from Rails by DPD

Wont have a chance to open yet but look forward to trying it out later.

Just finished paying the balance with Rainbow Railways so hopefully will be getting some more soon.

  4. It looks like I have to send a large number of my 37's back for various motor issues as they are either surging or running very slow and drawing between 0.8 - 1.2 amps.

My locos are all boxed away and only come out for an exhibition so I have not had a chance to run these locos for any period of time and am worried that when I do go to use them they won't work.

I have reached out to customer service and have been advised that I need proof of purchase and a video of the Loco running.

Problem is I don't have a layout at home only a rolling road and it is very hard to pick up on camera the speed at which the loco's are running.

Quick question before I do send any back, do I have to remove the cab crews that I have fitted.

    Regards Baz

  5. I also have the squealing noise on 2 of my Bachmann 37's both SFX versions.

37 034 and the latest release 37 069 which is a bit reluctant to move in reverse.

Going pop 069 back to shop and let them have a listen, they have a spare new one to replace if needed.

With 37034 was told it could be the controller I was using might not be compatible and Bachmann suggested using one of their own controllers.

Doesn't sound right to me I am using a NCE Powercab.

I have run it for a good few hours and it definitely has quietened down a bit but you can still hear it without the sound on.

I have just read an email from Derails to tell me that 37001 is now there. As I volunteered to collect it to save them postage, I shall be collecting it tomorrow. Whoop whoop.

Yes I have had an email from Derails as well to tell me 37 001 and D6702 is ready for collection.

Hopefully will get time to pop up Saturday and collect them.

Good morning Baz, I fitted both speakers & chips to my 37423 & 419 last week & the job is incredibly easy. Remove the roof & take out the blanking plate (make sure the 6 slide switches at the side of the chip are all in the right places, refer to the yellow card that came with your model for further information). Next plug the speaker cable into the available slot for it (there is only one plug it can go into). Finally slot the 21 pin chip into place & away you go 😃 the whole job took me less than 30 minutes.

    Hope that helps Baz.

    Thanks for the reply Vanbasher

Was a bit worried about plugging in speaker to PCB but as you say its the only plug there.

Works a treat and so easy.

I got the Jamie Goodman sound with both wheel slip and cold start which is very good.

Might get an A/S one for 419 now just so that I have a slightly different sounding 37

  8. I have a ESU sound chip to fit to a non sound 37 425

I also have the Accurathrash speaker to fit as well, am I right in saying that I only have to remove the roof which I have done.

The chip is easy to fit,

The question is do I just plug the JST plug into the JST socket on the PCB board which is marked LS.

    Many Thanks Baz

  9. I've tried fitting a Dcc Concepts Stay Alive (DCD-ZNSA.11) 2 wire to the KR Models Fell but with no luck.

It still cuts out all the time , its fitted with a Loksound V5 and I've soldered the blue and the black wire direct to the solder pads on the chip as the diagram from ESU.

On JMRI it shows up on the Function page Aux 7 is a Power pack and Aux 9 is a power pack.

    Changed

    CV 315 =0

    CV 31=16

    CV 32=0

    CV315=0

    CV 339=31

Not sure what to try next

    Thanks Baz
