Thanks Tom, here’s the photo of the speaker which fits well on top of the chassis. They are on http://www.roads-and-rails.co.uk
Hi Richard is it possible to fit this speaker as well as the 4 ohm one that fits in the diesel tank (cant remember if I fit them in series or parallel )
The one I normally fit in the tanks are 2 watt 4 ohm ones shown earlier in this thread.
I just purchased 3 through your ebay site.

My 66789 arrived today and I have only run it up and down a yard of track but it seems superb.
I like the cab lighting and it does sound great.
Wish I had ordered an EWS and green freightliner now.

Nice photo
I got the Cawood bundle and 1 pack of the British Fuels so I could run similar with a mixed rake.
I like the weathering it has given me ideas.
How were these wagons loaded? it doesn't look like they were loaded under a hopper although I'm sure someone more knowledgeable on here could advise.
Would they of been loaded with a mechanical shovel perhaps ?

Just took delivery of my Cawood's packs today .
Cracking looking model.
Haven't run them yet but was toying with the idea of fitting removable loads but the rail around the top looks to be a bit of an obstacle.
They seem to be glued on and look quite fragile and am afraid of trying to remove.

Thanks Stephen
But it is my fault that they are broke.
(rough handling perhaps)
Not sure how they could be replaced, the tie bars look to be one piece moulded to the W irons.
I'll email yourselves with details.
Many thanks for the prompt reply and offer.

Thanks Mark thats great.

Just wondered if anyone knows the wheelbase length on these wagons.
I have a couple with broken tie bars and was going to get some etched replacement ones and wanted to know which length to get.

Hi Roy
I have seen photos on the net of 55001 in November 1976 with Domino headcode
and I have a photo of the same loco plated over in June 1977 so must of been plated in this 7 month period.
Hope this helps
I am sure that there are more knowledgeable people on here that could assist better.

Is it possible to make a payment over the phone using the phone number on the invoice provided?

I bought 2 sets and both sets had a slight problem. the part on the bogie the same as Brambles highlighted was loose and in the box on one set easy fix.
Unfortunately it is missing completely on the second set and not in the box so must of been detached at factory.
I hope Hattons carry some spares as I would happily fit it back on instead of having to send the whole wagon back to Hattons.

Does anyone know where I can get replacement buffers.
I have a coach with the buffer snapped off and not sure where I could get replacements.

After having a chat with the guys on the Accurascale stand at Warley and chatting about the sound and placement of speakers I was confident enough to order 2 locos from them with sound,
I also want to order 55 015 from Rails with sound.
As I undrestand Accurscale will be offering a sound pack to order separately which I can fit myself so would not be a problem.
If Rails do offer Legoman's sound then I wouldn't hesitate getting that sound fitted as I have several of his Deltic sound locos and they are really good probably the best out there in my opinion.

I've ordered the blue ones but now also like the VTG ones as well but I have got too much on order already so might give them a miss.
