    My thoughts and condolences are with his family and friends today at this sad time, he will be sorely missed at this years Sidmouth festival.

    I can remember when when Chris 'came out' at Sidmouth Folk Week 2019 and was very keen to sing Be The Man.after much deliberation Chris decided to sing this   within the confines of the Middle Bar Singers lunchtime session  at the Anchor Inn.

          It was carried out note & word perfect as far as I remember & several real Ales were unharmed in the performance.Chris was always kind and friendly to all and would always be of assistance to those seeking information  during the festival which he was a regular attendee since 1975.

     He will be sorely missed his encyclopedic knowledge was second to none,and his quick witted comments still make me smile even now at this sad time.
