That tender peg is awful. It took me ages to connect the loco and tender and not long after I had it a bit of the peg broke so I've had keep it held with blu tac. Don't really have a layout to run it on anyway at the moment except a small oval

Had a great time on The Mayflower with Bittern and Nunney Castle. Have now ridden behind Southern,LNER,LMS,GWR and BR locos on the mainline

Thanks for looking at the images. Had a great time down there and Sunday was best with the weather especially for the cavalcade. I did send 2 more links to the site but that was after my first ones were put up and they are on another site so I'll have to wait and see if they make it on there. Any more loco projects in the works or are you concentrating on preparing the Sheffield Park layout. -

Noticed the Bluebell still have those Hornby packs. I picked mine up last Christmas eve. Great set but £150 was a bit steep for it. May get the shelter soon. I was down the line on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and enjoyed it enormously especially the Cavalcade which you can see a link to the images on the Bluebell site. Brilliant job on the 9F and 80151. -

Just looked in Model Rail and as well as a model review also has an advert for TMC has the Bachmann model but comes fitted with brass nameplates,rear coal lamps,crew cab tarpaulin,A1 Trust headboard and parts pack.

Funny enough I've got my 4 Gresleys, Scotsman, Tangmere with ex Exculiber Express Coaches, Olton Hall (Hogwarts Castle)with coaches and Blue Can Pac all out at the moment. I've also got Tornados etched plates on with blu tac currently but may put them on with glue. I've seen some with or look like white buffers but mine are normal. Can't get pics up because my mobile is playing up when taking pictures and I don't have a digital camera.

Yeah I got it sorted out. I love it it is stunning though despite the left seat in the cab came loose. I got homemade headboards to go with it.

I've got mine and was wonding how dom you connect the tender to the locomotive.

My Mum is picking mine up from my Nans so I'll have mine tomorrow morning. I may also have my Bluebell 50th Anniversary Hornby Pack. (Coincidence considering Stepney and Tornado should meet in August.)

I think we'll have to wait for the Top Gear Challenges 4 which should feature the race and if we're lucky may get extra features from the race or (i'd prefer) even better a stand alone DVD with tons of extra features. I've got to wait til tomorrow or Wednesday before I can get my hands on my model. Also today the real 60163 on the lunch time trains in Kent earlier today was running ahead of time when everything else was late.

I believe that the chime is from an A4 yes. Don't know why it has it but I like it.

As an alternative to buying headboards i've printed off some to about the correct size.

I stand corrected just seen some pictures with it moved. Still I get to see her for the 3rd time at the Bluebell Railway in August and may finally get some pictures of the smaokebox.

Sorry not a regular model buyer but what are Etched Plates. Are they the printed ones on the locomotive.

Just noticed one little niggle with the model. The chime whistle has been misplaced. It should be near the top the the right hand cab side smoke deflector. Still a stunning model and hope to line her up with Scotsman. May buy some headboards to go with them.
