Don't forget the price is rising to £150 on January 1st.

Ironically (?) the breakdown which didn't require voyage control was more chaotic than the set up - I thought the system worked very smoothly after the initial faff of creating an account and booking the slots.

I shouldn’t have really bought it with warley being on tomorrow but the PayPal pay in 3 option swung it for me
We'd have charged you £130 at Warley so you did alright! Pop by for a matching set of industrial user wagons ;)

Egg shaped tunnel I believe.
29, 5, and any others I've pictured, still had (relatively) tall chimneys. Would you like me to check the drawings I've got for chimney height vs the cab height and cab curvature?
Thanks Paul, any info you can provide will be much appreciated.

Yeah they are certainly not significantly shortened - presumably the restriction was in the corners of the loading gauge rather than the overall height.

Mind you, I do quite like Emmanuel Clegg as well!
Wasn't he in Last of the Summer Wine?

Interestingly, Rails has Victory listed as coming with "Etched works plates fret with all 10 works numbers" which may be old/inaccurate information. I plan on ordering a proper numbered works plates from LRS though for the ROD.
The original intention was to do a fret of 10 works numbers (as the 7mm Minerva Victory comes with) but after doing some tests we felt the difference wasn't really discernible enough. If anyone would like to try a specific works number drop me a PM and I can sort something out.
FRANCIS nameplates are probably best served by the Serif B style from Light Railway Stores and don't forget you have a custom etch discount code in the notes.

If it's a kit it'll be the CSP/Centre Models one.

Any chances of a blue one being produced in the future?
It's high on our list if the demand is there for a further production run. We're planning a suggestion box for future Victory liveries on the PI stand at Warley, so if you're at the show come along and add your voice.

any news yet on the sound chips?
Les
We're still waiting for word from our supplier at the moment - the intended decoder has had to be reworked to suit the components they can currently get hold of.

James has been working on weathering and fitting detail to his maroon loco. I think I'm happy to let the model speak for itself.

These are really purposeful beasts of locos - how about it, Planet guys? 😉
I mean, I wouldn't hate it as a project...

So why bother on an industrial?
In the case up the thread, the customer has chosen to do so to suit their "nominally heritage railway".
To be clear the Victory doesn't have vac pipes out of the box.

Not if you count the Bachmann US On30 porter as that was available in 0.4.0 and 0.4.2 versions.
Oh and their C&S mogul later offered as an abominable 0.6.0 industrial version!
UK outline then.

Assuming the 2-4-0 versions are released in due course, will this be the first time a RTR loco has been available in two different wheel configurations?

First one I've seen personalised by a customer I think, nice logo too!

Finally in this week's tour of our Victory model's livery choices
PI-001-E Black ROD 608
While the Victory class was initially ordered for the Inland Waterways & Docks department, they were swiftly reallocated to the Railway Operating Department and renumbered ROD 601 - 610. Livery was likely to be plain black, certainly shown in photos of 608 which is our subject here. After the war the loco was used in colliery service and eventually scrapped by the NCB in 1964.
This model is exclusive to our friends at Rails of Sheffield, and available NOW in limited quantities for £130

PI-001-D Lined maroon
Equally at home in an industrial or light railway setting, the maroon livery is inspired by 'Francis', the Victory that was previously IW&D 12 and ran in a similar colour scheme at Manchester Collieries. This is the only loco in our run to feature red coupling and connecting rods, which gives an attractive feature below the footplate.
Available NOW for £130 from Light Railway Stores and Rails of Sheffield.

There are plenty of other SUV's that are very roomy inside and have more accommodation than many saloon and estate cars.
I went from a Ford S-Max to a Skoda Kodiaq via a Focus estate - fair enough the Focus is a smaller size category than the others but it was nowhere near as practical, especially in the size of the tailgate opening. The Kodiaq is vast inside - swallowed a fairly large 3 seater sofa whole when we needed to get rid of it, and this week I've discovered it will fit 7 fully loaded Royal Mail mailbags full of Victory locos without needing to put the seats down :D

James, can I ask what courier the locos are getting sent out by please? Curious as much as anything.
Light Railway Stores orders are being dispatched by Royal Mail.

PI-001-C Lined green
Inspired by, but not presented as a strictly accurate representation of, the East Kent Railway's Nº 4, the lined green livery is a great classic choice for a light railway loco with plenty of scope to add your own railway's lettering or a custom etched nameplate.
Slide bars are intact today!
Available NOW for £130 from Light Railway Stores and Rails of Sheffield.
