  1. Have done a few bits since the last post, but haven't documented any of it - sorry.... Anyhow, as much to bookmark the very useful roof weathering shots as much as anything - here's some lunchtime youtube viewing!
  2. Been digging through their youtube channel - this would make a fun wagon load:
  3. No worries - if you poke about on the German language version of the site there are diagram downloads like that for all the current revenue-fleet wagons, which is worth a look.
  4. https://www.rhb.ch/de/buendner-gueterbahn/gueterwagen/konventionell/staubgutwagen https://www.rhb.ch/fileadmin/user_upload/redaktion/Ueber_die_RhB/Gueterbahn/Dokumente/PDF-Gueterwagen/Datenblatt_Staubgutwagen_Typ_Uac_Serie_7991_-_8000.pdf You may need to switch it to German as they won't come up on the English version of the site.
  5. Nice Paul, where did you order from out of interest?
  6. Hi Simon - don't know if it helps but this was the layout plan, with module names:
  7. Update on the swapbodies - here's how they measure up (all in MM) - pretty well as it happens.
  8. Thanks, it's out in the other direction (the 1/87 decals are too *small* for a large logo in 1/150!) but the method might work - I may have a play!
  9. The decals arrived yesterday, and the largest ones on the sheet were too small.... Back to the drawing board on that (though there's plenty on the sheet that will be useful later so it won't be wasted...) Then this morning a box arrived from RhB Modellbahn, I'd ordered some swapbodies, a RTR well wagon and a pair of Aussichtswagen kits. Unfortunately the well arrived slightly more well shaped than intended, and having lost an end handrail en route. Fixable I think, but not usable at present. Or maybe its just for really heavy swapbodies? First impressions of the Aussichtswagens kits is good (but I'll leave a closer look till I get home...)
  10. Just before I left the house this morning the RhB Modellbahn resin swapbodies arrived. I'll have to check dimensions another day as I didn't bring a ruler! Overall I think they look decent, there's an odd lip at the top (though more perceptable by feel than look,) and they might be improved by some detail painting/tidying (especially on the nose) and a coat of matt. Interesting is the side door appears in different places and sizes, suspect that's not exactly right, but there do seem to be different builds of these things with detail differences, and I'm not sure it'd detract either way. On the whole, good stuff. When I get chance I'll measure one...
  11. Thanks, noted! Will give it some thought... See you at the weekend.
  12. Thanks Paul - struggling to find 1017s this side of the water at present - has anyone tried 1128s, looks like they might fit the existing coupler boxes? https://www.micro-trains.com/index.php?_route_=n-scale/magne-matic-couplers/universal-coupler-2-pr-1128-00130012
  13. Thanks - I've ordered a set (1717) from TL and I'll see how they work out. Is there any interest from others in any of their sets in N if I ask - their HO range is here: https://tl-modellbau.de/Schweiz_1 Several RhB-specific sets there - the one for post containers might be useful also.
  14. Might have sorted the decals, TL-Modellbau does some sheets of suitable decals in 1/87, have ordered the one with logos and will see if a small 1/87 logo will work... I do wonder whether it's worth asking them whether they will shrink their sheets to 1/150 though!
  15. Thanks! I don't think that decals suitable for this will exist - so I think I need to at least try and hand-draw the logo these have: http://www.haribu.ch/coppermine/displayimage.php?album=437&pos=0 If I can't get that right, weathering it is...
  16. Plastic work done... Tidy up tomorrow and some paint.
  17. Green EW1s now showing on Ebay, 174 Euros for a set of 3 https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.it%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F323937506710
  18. So, courage duly plucked... *Door wheels recovered for possible future use. *Platform popped off for safety. *Roof persuaded off, this one was glued into 3 of the 6 pegs it locates into. *Roof piece shortened. *Sides sanded to remove old livery and a tiny bit of width. *Door wheel details removed from corners and new corner posts (platform corners need trimming.) *File down fishbelly. I need some thinner strip to do the rest of the doors but no disasters just yet. Quick reminder of where I'm aiming for...
  19. Interesting to see 242 in use as a "revenue" shunter! Hoping they keep the Krok diagram for next year too, as I've booked an apartment in Davos next August,
  20. Wouldn't be surprised if 111 had gone to works, it was pretty scruffy. We'd nicknamed it 'orange peel'.
  21. Handy to know they swap the shunters regularly, it was 111 at Ilanz a month back.
  22. Thanks SG. Second of the Valser vans finished today, I rubbed the lettering down on this one to more closely resemble one I shot. Had a bit of a play with potential small layouts on an old board too...
