  1. ECML diverts I am looking for information on diverted ECML workings and the route they took in the LNER and BR Steam Period. My specific question is when diverted from ECML between Hitchin and Peterbo’ did any go via the Cambridge – St Ives – March Line? Addition to this what was the RA of the Cambridge – St Ives – March Line? Thanks David
  2. HI Dave, just wondering if you were any closer to producing the GER Bufferstops? Best Wishes David
  3. Thanks for the update and the pictures of the J15 crossing the river, could be straight out of a JD Mann book. This is a real favourite for me, you have captured the feel of the area really well.
  4. Hi, Wondering is someone here could help with this. I’m after a constitution for model railway club – we have one that is forming locally. What would really help us is if your club has a short clear constitution could I see a copy of it so we can draw up one we can use for our own needs. This may seem over the top but the reason for the club been formed is that a local community have come into the position of a layout and a group of railway modellers have agreed to take on a custodian role but we need to be clear on ownership, management etc. Thanks Best Wishes David
  5. I would also be interested to here if this is still a loco you are working on. Best Wishes David

  9. The very nice Llangunllo layout on the blogspot http://radnorailways.blogspot.co.uk/ Seems to have disappeared. It was there when I visited before Christmas. Anyone know what has happened? I enjoyed following this one. Best Wishes David
  10. Relly great to see a model of one of the Cambridge 2MT, was 46466 the only one to receive the all over black livery our of the batch that worked from 31A. I've had a quick look through the books I have and think it may be? Also thanks for the tip about the chimney from 247 Developments. I was wondering how I was going to make that change. Best Wishes David
  11. Really like this layout. You have really captured the area well. Looking forward to the new bit. Best Wishes David
  12. I've been fiddling around with a shunting plank for a while. My first thoughts were here:- http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/109357-gladstone-street-goods/ I got as far as building the board before I had a change of heart. I’ve folded some of the key ideas in to a bigger scheme which may see the light of day later. The project I’m working on now is a small goods only terminus in the middle of the Cambridgeshire Fens. Is taken elements from both the Wisbech and Upwell and the less well known Benwick Branch. I didn’t want a straight W &U layout as I wanted to be able to run a wider range of loco’s such as my J15 and 2MT 260 as well as the 04 and J70's. The board has been modified and track laying has started. Pictures to follow. Would welcome any comments Best Wishes David

  18. a curved double slip in P4 - that works - now that is impressive!
  19. Great to see a Great Eastern layout, and so nicely modelled. Hadn't found this one before. I am particularly interested in this one as I am working up a plan for a fictitious 2nd second station in Cambridge which assumes that the line from St Ives (and services from Kettering and March) ran into a separate station! Best Wishes David
  20. This is very nicely done - you seem to have got alot in a small space without making it look overcrowded, what size is it? Best Wishes David
  21. Asked at Warley on delivery date as I think it was ment to be November. Heljen now saying first quarter of 2012. Best Wishes David
  22. Have received this reply from Kim at Heljan... 8700 is the preserved one which is in the lighter green livery. All the others are in the dark green which depicts the class in BR service. There is some dispute amongst enthusiasts as to whether any of these railbuses ran in light green when in BR service; it's difficult to tell as the majority of photos are black & white, not colour! Hopefully this helps you..... Best WIshes David
  23. just looking ath the Hattons website they list two versions with the speed whiskers. 8700 Railbus E79960 in early light green with speed whiskers. 8701 Railbus E79962 in dark green with speed whiskers When did they carry these two verions of this livery? Were they all delivered in the light green? If so when were they repainted? Would welcome comments, just want to make sure I order the right one. Best Wishes David
