Apologies if this has been answered before but since the outage iam unable to visit several topics including layout topics & prototype discussions to name but two.
I get a message saying 'Rmweb cannot handle this request'
I tried logging off to no avail. I mostly view on my smart phone using Samsung Internet browser and have had no issues with other sites.

There was a small feature in one of the mags (Railways Illustrated or Rail Express) last year with some one restoring 2 or three OBA/VDA type vans.

At just 60 inches long my folding layout still provides plenty of Interest

Good to go to a show again.
Enjoyed my visit, and spent around £150 on various bits.
I noted that despite being advertised as card payment only for entrance they were taking cash too.

Is much mentioned about them operating around Hull & beyond before they were withdrawn?

Quick question if I may?
Has anyone returned their 122 to Dapol/DCC Supplies for repair because of the poor running issue actually has theirs back yet? Mine's now at four months and counting without a peep from anyone...
Can't say I'm impressed.
Edit: It's a DC version so if it ever returns and actually works the Paul Chetter/Digitrains sound project option will be of great interest.
I contacted Dapol first who put me in touch with DCC supplies. However I decided to return it to the retailer (Rails) who confirmed the fault and sent out a replacement, which seems OK so far running on DCC (no sound).

I am a bit confused about these, are they packs of 2 wagons (and therefore only £22.50 each after discount) or for one wagon as the livery is different on either side? The fact it says pack to me means 2 wagons but my gut says it is 1 wagon given the pricing and the artwork could be on both sides.
This must be the only product that has gone down in price.
When they first appeared a few years ago as a commission for Drax I think they were around the £80 mark.

Were the VEAs used on any other regular flows apart from MOD traffic?

In fairness it must be hard to predict demand given they couldn't give these away when they came out. I bought a load for 40 quid when Rails were trying to clear them and they were available at those prices for yonks.
Then suddenly a few people decide they are that desperate they will pay 3 times the price.
Yes I bought a few wagons at reduced prices but that was around 4 years ago.
Since then there has been a mini explosion in O gauge modelling, many are finding locos but little stock for them to pull.

My 122 finally gave up in late November.
Jerky running on both a Bachmann decoder and a Dapol Imperium 3 decoder.
I sent it back to Rails of Sheffield who confirmed the same issues.
Today postman called with a replacement which I have fitted with a Imperium 3 decoder.
Hopefully it's finally sorted.

Good evening, everyone. Well, this evening, thanks to another photo’ from Paul Smith on Flickr, we can see a short empty tank train leaving Botanic Gardens as it runs along the Bridlington branch before going onto the former H&BR high level line. The locomotive is 31436, and the date is 14th June, 1985.
Best regards,Rob.
Thats me Rob! Keep em coming love seeing my memories.
Apart from the changes to track and stock what is disappointing is the trackside growth and loss of some of the great views over the years.

In O Gauge I predict some duplication with stuff already announced from other manufacturers.
Maybe a class 20/3?
Hopefully some wagons for the Locos to pull!

So the layout is back at the caravan.
Latest addition is a Minerva class 14.
It's a lovely model and I managed to put the headcodes in - all half numerals showing as per many of the pictures of the real thing.
Though I am not pleased with my positioning of the individual numbers of the loco so will get railtec to sort out the correct digits on one transfer.
A few pics below of a running session/play
