went for a walk in the sunshine today and passed a 442 (5-WES) sat in the sidings on the juice outside Gatwick. Heard the noise of what I assume is a compressor (?) duba duba duba duba duba... which took me right back to my rides on the old 305s from Hertford East into Liverpool St. Sounds that take you back.... aaah! I like the "new" Gat-Exs ... Mk3 stock giving the smoothest ride; mind you, with luggage it's a different story!
