  1. Modelling Longrock shed in the diesel era.

  2. Soldered droppers, laid track into 3 sidings, tested everything with a loco, all good.....4 days later, realise I forgot to fit the under-track uncoupler magnets! Oh gosh!

      Drill (carefully) from underneath. A depth collar on the drill and eye protection might be a good idea.

      Luckily I had only used copydex and hadn't started ballasting so the track came up ok without damage. All fitted back down now.

  5. Copydex is great for tracklaying.........until you shake the bottle with the lid off.

      At least it peels off easily... and you can roll it up into pretend bogies (of the nose variety)

      I find that UHU makes better pretend bogys/bogies/whatever...

      On a more serious note, I found the tubes of Copydex worth the extra expense. They avoid the problem of the brushes not reaching the bottom of the tub and the increasing amount of air within the tub as the level lowers making the contents go manky.

      Maybe 'massive leap forward' wasn't the best choice of words. A big step then......

       

  10. Made a massive leap forward today with my Long Rock Shed layout by getting a full set of track templates glued down to a 15' long roll of brown paper.
