  1. Hi Dave, The 50s looking good, have you fitted the new ploughs to the class 27 yet. Cheers Peter,
  2. Oooooooh Nice, and you think you are going to finish the 00 layout. You will have to be strong, the 7mm boys are quite persuassive, once they know you have a weekness. I should know they got me. Cheers Peter,
  3. Hi Dave, Yeah, some people, I am going to your thread now, I may try some Hijacking myself or just give you a hard time about the ploughs on your class 27. though you have probably fixed it by now. Glad you like the 37 it does look better, how are you going with weathering your Deltic? Your idea of some weathering rubbed off should work ok especially if the loco has already worked a few railtours. Hi Wayne, I always enjoyed looking at your friends Doncaster layout it would be great to see it back on the new RM web. Any thoughs on starting your prototype pic thread? You had some great pic on that. Cheers Peter,
  4. Hi John, Hope you are going ok, great to hear from you. It was good to catch up with keith, hopefully next time they can come down to us, and I can show Keith the layout. Cheers Peter,
  5. Hi Pugsley, Your 09 does look great, and your Photoshopped pics is better than anything I could do. Are you going to tell us what 7mm loco/ wagon, is in the box. Cheers Peter,
  6. Hi Brian, 26022 looks superb, I bet she sounds good too. Cheers Peter,
  7. Hi Dave, Great to see your layout again, I am not sure I had see all those pics either, top stuff. looks like you have added another 108 to the fleet as well. Welcome back. Cheers Peter,
  8. Looks like 411 has had it's WR lamp brackets removed. Cheers Peter,
  9. Hi, I am glad you like the layout, and gives you the feel of the place. Unfortunatlly the new extension isn't big enought for Freightliners, maybe one day. Cheers Peter,
  10. Hi ajdown. I will post a plan here soon. Thanks Alex, I thought I saw your arm waving out the front window. Hi James, Thanks for your encouragement in helping me to go a step further with the model. I am pleased with how it looks now, though I think a picture in natural light would look better. Cheers Peter,
  11. Hi, I do like the Crab, used to see them at Eastleigh all the time. They were quite common on the Meldon ballast trains. I would love to have a go at one, but can't really justify one on my layout. Cheers Peter,
  12. Hi Claggy, Here is a pic of 37188 at Queen Street about to depart (take off) to Perth on the 1L39 18.03 FSX to Perth. The train was booked a class 27. There was also a 27 booked train from Edinburgh to Perth 1L35 dep 11.23 the same loco was booked to work 1T24 13.50 Perth Glasgow Q.S. Hope that helps. Cheers Peter,
  13. Cheque's in the mail bro. Cheers Peter,
  14. Thanks for your thoughts and ideas on 37693, and no worries re hijacking the thread it all helps anyone reading the thread. I have had a bit of a play with 37693 and I am now really pleased with how it has turned out. I am a bit worried if I add any more weathering I will no longer have an ex-works loco. I have added a bit of muck around the exhust ports roof fan and in the cantrail grilles. The nose grilles have had a bit of black mixed with brown and the foot holes under the doors and other recesses along the bottom edge of the loco have had a bit of work. The bogies have had just a bit of light weathering with a hint of track colour and brake dust. After looking at a few pictures I noticed even after a couple of test runs the bogies would soon get a build up of muck, I may still add a bit as I am not sure it shows up to well in the pictures. So here is 37693 paired with 33026 on the return working back to Crewe. Cheers Peter,
  15. Thanks Larry, There is a nice pic of 37431 leaving Flint in your 'Colour of North Wales main line' book The timetable I have done for the layout has a train arriving from Cardiff at 16.00 which is booked for a class 33, but on Fridays I have it booked for a 37/4 . I could do as you said though and extend the Rhyl service I will have to see if I have room in my time table, nice idea. Cheers Peter,
  16. Hi Pugsley, I like the the marks where the double arrows have deen removed ,nice touch. I was just thinking the other day about a board I could lay some track on, it would allow me to take pics outside, my other option is to knock some holes in the garage wall. Cheers Peter,
  17. Nice pics Keith, I think you should rename the thread, class 37 renumbering nightmare. Cheers Peter.
  18. Hi Brian, I am loving that class 26, 20009 is interesting, I am planning on doing a 4mm model that number as it had oval buffers until withdrawn. Cheers Peter,
  19. Thanks for the comments and feedback everyone, It seems James has made a good point, I am quite happy with the finish on the model though as 37114 said a bit of weathering around the exhust ports would improve things,I think if I sprayed the model to a Matt that would also look wrong, as would gloss which as Bernard said ex-works locos are painted in. See the pic of the real loco on my brothers 'class 37 nose ends' thread page 2. As Dave said any thoughts are welcome. Anyway here are a couple more pics. Cheers Peter,
  20. Thanks James, I will have a look at doing that bogie mod, my only concern is will the super glue have enough plastic to bond to. I like the idea of moving the frames up as there is a bit of a gap. It would seem that you have started some debate about the finish on the loco. Cheers Peter,
  21. Thanks Jim, I am quite happy with how the track and ballast looks, though it is code 100 it does fool a few people. Cheers Peter,
  22. Hi Mark, Progress by 01 Jan 2010, Is that a challenge, I will see what I can do. Cheers Peter,
  23. Thanks Phill, Glad you found me, and like the thread. I will be following your blog, I am looking forwards to seeing that 47 in action. Cheers Peter,
  24. Here are a couple of pics hope they are of some use. Cheers Peter,
