I'm pretty sure my wife and I gave up after queuing for 20 mins and getting no nearer it seemed.. Having queued for the best part of an hour to get in I was more than a bit miffed to find out I had to queue inside to see one of the layouts

Thanks for the kind comments.

Yup all weathering is done by moi. In fact the 2-6-0 weathering was all brush work several years ago before I bought an airbrush. Later weathering has mainly used that.

Possibly , but I'm thinking of making them out plastic rod, either 1.5mm or 2mm and brass wire.

It's some time since i've posted anything, mainly because not much has been done. But this week I decided that it was time to have a go at Road Transport Images kit that I bought nearly 2 years ago at Warley.
so far i've just primed it. It looks like a kit that needs to be painted before being stuck together, it also apears that I may have lost the side lights and wing mirror. I'll write to find if it's possible to get replcements. the tractor unit is a Bedford OXC, once in the employ of British Railways but at Wencombe will have ben bought by a local haulier.

Thanks for that BR(W) perhaps I'll go for Powis Castle, I could do woith an Old Oak loco on the layout.

I toyed with Powis Castle (old oak Common) but I think I'll settle on Caerhays Castle(Bristol)

A slightly closer look
Nick the layout has no special lighting, just the bulb in the centre of the room. It is something that I have thought about.
The photos are taken with a Nikon D50 DSLR] with the aperture set for the greatest depth of field which leads to an exposure time as long 20+ secs. More recent photos have been taken with a photoflood meaning exposures are down to less than a sec.

Thanks Robin. I did do a fair bit of research when i re numbered the locos to make the byulk of them local to South Devon.

Just love this. Oh for the space to model like this.

I always thought the Peco wagons were very good with the slight springing from the plastic leaf springs. Your Saxa wagon bears ot my thoughts.

Wencombe/Kingsbridge Regis/Louville Lane

On one or to threads lately there have been a series of excellent photos showing the workings (operation of the layout) just as a starter I offer this one of the Kingsbridge portion of the down Cornishman arriving at Wencombe as the connection for Slapton arrives, for once a fraction later than the Cornishman.
As the week progresses I will endevour to add a few more shots from the Wencombe timetable.
