It's #modelrailwaymonday and that means a new video blogchat on my YouTube channel. Including a new scenic Train storage set up. If you don't watch this video you will miss the most important development in micro layouts in the last seven days :D https://youtu.be/cfGjqgPsVMY

It's #modelrailwaymonday and time for another blogchat. This time I've built the station platform for my Wingham Canterbury Road model out of foam core board. https://youtu.be/ZosIxETTUpA

Lordy Lord!
I've been so bad at posting updates to the YouTube channel.
Since that last post a couple of months ago I've built a station building, and a goods shed too. There's even a station platform build on the way. You'd best head over to the channel and check this and all the others out.

The FLR was very kindly featured in this year's spring issue of the Micro Model Railway Dispatch on page 58.
Thank you Ian for all your great work in creating this lovely magazine.
Thank you for sending your layout in for publication. Without the contributors there wouldn't be a magazine

This new video blog update concerns the first stages of how I design and build a micro layout. This is for an O scale layout but this is the process I use for all my layout design

A couple of days ago a request went out for people to consider layouts for the above show. I thought to myself. "I can do that".

Yes, you're not wrong there. I'm sure I'll be able to find a way around that. 🤔 Tree foliage does get shaped by the repeated passage of vehicles by them.

Some random thoughts on my blog today about how we perceive realism in our models.
I don't know if there's any optometrists/opticians out there who can offer a simpler interpretation of my ramblings.
