I see there is an announcement already for the loco hauled coaches, including the BlueGrey Sleepers. Have you / has Dapol corrected the art-work for them?

Yes - they are all totally new artwork.

Did Heljan not hint of a 4mm version of their rather nice looking 7mm 153 when it was launched? It would make perfect sense, as the development work has already been done.

Excellent news, i hope theres a rerun of the loco hauled mk3s, although I think i can get away with putting the DVT on the end of a farish mk2f rake.
Watch this space :-)

The Swallow DVT is all-new artwork with the new colour palette as seen on our recent Swallow HST.

I’d like to see additional mk3 coaches in NR yellow for the NMT - I know the two simplest have been done and the remainder are increasingly esoteric….
However, I wonder if the mk3 (977993) with the pantograph on the roof might be next easiest - would require a new roof tooling, but the window arrangement looks like a standard TGS vehicle.
Considering I’m about to pay £47 for a Farish mk2F in NR yellow, I’d pay a similar amount (perhaps even fractionally more) for 977993 with fully represented roof equipment - would bring the NMT up to three trailer vehicles which would make it a bit more credible looking.Considering all the NMT sets sold through (and I believe more in the pipeline), that must be x250 booksets sold, so you might sell a similar number of 977993 - @Adam1701D perhaps do the maths on tooling that roof and see if that works for a circa £45-£50 mk3 model….
I also wonder if doing the Colas HST cars in earlier liveries than the ex-EMR purple might garner more sales - Colas has ex-VTEC/LNER and ex-EMT Colas branded power cars back in 2020 (perhaps even slightly earlier).
I have been having similar thoughts regarding 977993. Now we have a decent High-Speed pantograph on the way for the Class 87 we could see if the numbers stack up.

I don't think I mentioned that the liveries in the poll are in addition to any re-runs of existing liveries. If previous sales are anything to go by their is almost certainly going to be another run of Blue/Grey and InterCity (could be Swallow or Exec).
Glad to see the poll doing so well and thank you for the interest so far.

A Virgin set without buffers would be nice…

That would be sensible. I would like to do an INTERCITY set with buffers instead!

A good selection and of course the staycation express is there as I have 5 trailers on my to spray green pile! Love a Mexican power car pair- just for fun and completeness.
And of course I have just done a colas pair.
Robert
I quite like the Mexican set but not sure how popular it would be. Wondering what the Nigerian HSTs will look like!

Thanks Adam, I've voted there.
I also suggested the RailAdventures pair.
We are doing the RailAdventure power cars via Gaugemaster, due Q1/Q2 next year. They have been delayed a bit due to retooling the body and adding front couplings.

We are running a poll on the Dapol Digest with options for our next batch of N Gauge HST releases for 2024/5. Please have a look at the options and let us know what you would like to see next.
The poll is HERE.

If you are modelling an HST in as-built 1976 condition, swap the TGS for a TS.
The TGS was introduced around 1980, as the guards found being in the power car too noisy.

A very sensible choice for a first O Gauge project and deserves success. Ideal for the smaller shunting plank and an ideal accompaniment other small Industrials, such as our own forthcoming J94 (sorry....Hunslet Austerity).

I do indeed work from home in Peterborough most of the time but we do try to get everyone to Chirk about once a month. It is a good four hour trip by train but well worth it, as you can't beat face to face meetings.

Therein lies the dilemma. When we do the next batch, do we change the colour to silver or keep the grey to maintain compatibility?
I am inclined towards the latter but would be interested to hear others opinions on this matter.

I am always happy to share what information I can about projects that I am involved with, especially the 66. We are at the stage of awaiting completed CADs from the factory and do not currently have much to show until these are completed and tooling can begin. We certainly have not been sitting on our hands and have used the downtime to make many improvements to the original EP and introduce more functionality, all of which will be revealed at the appointed time.

I asked the same question when I was doing the artwork. There were indeed green BCKs but they were delivered on Commonwealth bogies. They also had rather nice metal window frames.

Sorry - did not have time to do the full works on these HSTs. The Swallow version has the new colour palette but the Blue / Grey set was a straight rerun / renumber.
The next batch of Mark 3s, due in Q1/2 2024 will have the correct British Rail Dark Typeface.

The HST is an older model, so does not have speaker provision. When the time comes for an upgrade, I am sure we will tackle this.

The blue / grey version was a straight re-number of our previous releases, so should be fine. I must admit not noticing any major issues when I had a look yesterday. We will look into this.
Digital photographs do have a habit of over-emphasising small errors that the naked eye would miss.
I have adopted a Swallow-liveried set, which is fine and true.

2D-019-013 HST Blue/Grey Bookset and 2D-019-014 HST Intercity Swallow Bookset are now available.
Although there was not time to completely rework the Swallow livery, we have been been able to modify the colour palette with a much better Falcon Grey. I had to bring one home with me from Chirk yesterday...
Providing the feedback on the colours are positive (I like it but very biased), this palette will be used on all future Swallow-liveried releases, including the loco-hauled Mk3s, DVT, 86 and 87.

Looks like Hornby have inadvertently spilled the beans on one of their 2024 releases 😇

I am wanting to build a shelf layout / diorama in N Gauge, inspired by Corfe Castle station and was wondering if the plans of the buildings have been published anywhere.
Nothing seems to be available online but I hope they may exist in printed form somewhere. Any help gratefully received.

The Class 56 is made at a different factory to the 50 and 68. The retooling is an addition to the already announced models and we are using the existing chassis to keep the costs sensible.
With the N Gauge market increasingly crowded, I do not think a ground-up retool would be a good idea and we would rather put the resources into something totally new.
-
We are at the stage of just about approving the new CADs for the original version, with the Low-emission and Euro-spec not too far behind. It has been a journey getting this loco right but we really want to make this something special.

The Swallow colour palette will be the same as our recently released HST but with further detail enhancements.
