  2. I see what you meanI've just checked my SD35 and GP40 and the both have the same gap May be it stands out more because the short hood is white
  3. I find most times if you ask nicely they will ship to the UK but sometimes there is the odd one who has no time for us Brits...
  4. A long search on EBay.com The seller would not ship to the UK, so I a friend in the States bid on it and he then forwarded it on to me

  10. Jordan You and Steve will be looking after North Haston tomorrow while I head to the pub with Roger Nicholls, I'm sure you'll find the Steve isn't that subtle at all
  11. Phil It's polyfilla roughly spread around and left to set hard, then a big dollop of PVA glue is spread over it .Ash from a log burner was sprinkled over it and then tamped down with a 2" paint brush and left to dry.

  13. Ok here are a few photos of the layout taken today
  14. Some photos of the wiring First I marked the end of the points were so I could drill holes for the feeds I also drilled out the holes for the point motors Then tinned the bottom of the fish plates Then tinned the feed itself Once soldered the fish plates were fitted to the point and the wires fed down the holes I also cut out the holes for the under track magnets
  15. Pete I looked at two F-Types on Thursday but there is just no way I could get a layout to fit. I'll just have to make do with the XF
  16. After a number of false starts, layout building mode kicked in good and proper on Friday. A quick trip to B&Q on Friday lunch time to pick up a sheet of 6mm MDF then with cutting list I headed over to the saw After a couple of hours at home I ended up with this but more importantly it fits in the car.
