  1. Dominic, Good work! I used DB grey for my stripe. I know its not reflective, but I decided it would look better like that. Having considered it further, I'm going to use DB grey with a dash of silver! Cheers, Andi.
  2. Looks fab as ever Dominic. I managed to finish mine last night. Just out of interest, how did you manage to keep the roof grill intact? I stripped mine completely. Which base model have you used and how have you got rid of the details so they don't show up once the loco is resprayed? Cheers, Andi.
  3. Dominic, Looking good, however, I hate to be a pedant, but all NMT HST Power Cars have black roofs with the exception of 43089 Hayabusa. This includes the back up ones that weren't in use for long (43154 & 43196). Hope that helps. Keep up the good work. Cheers, Andi.
  4. Mark, You need to get some railtour stock then you will be away! It looks very nice running with 37038. Keep up the great work on the layout, it looks great. Cheers, Andi.
  5. Hello, Glad to be friend #1! Just catching up with you guys, doing Colas 66s, and trying my hand at a Stobart 92!

  6. Now I don??™t normally delve into the past when doing my modelling, but when i was asked to do this one I couldn??™t resist! Hopefully the first of many. I used this photo photo for inspiration! Here are the pictures of my model: The roof really is light grey ??“ somewhere under there! I scratched the roof paint by accident, but decided to leave it on to represent a brush with a tree somewhere on the way to Kyle!!
  7. Indeed they are James! I'm not a massive fan of the gloss finish either, but then again it is always clean so i didn't think anything else would work somehow. Perhaps a mix of satin and gloss would be better.
  8. Hello all, My first foray into the crazy new world of RM Web! I will be unable to retrieve my old postings I think, as I don't have access to a PC - just an Apple Mac. If anyone wants to help me retrieve it - let me know! Anyway onwards and upwards. Here is the latest DRS loco to come off the production line, 37423 ???Spirit of the Lakes??™ in DRS Compass livery. It features new resin cast nose ends and new etched top lights. It also has full detailing at both ends. I have been experimenting with a bit of tripod based photography! See what you think of the results. General view of one side: General view of the other side: Close up of nose end: The other nose end: Let me know what you think. Cheers, Andi.
