    Mad if you're buying, but great if selling.... It never ceases to amaze me, people just don't bother to find out how much stuff actually costs new, & fall over themselves to pay over the odds... Yep, everyone's mad except me & thee....

    It might be worth remembering that these trains were not exclusively made up of tankers.. They frequently featured any of the various southern utility vans, specially-built milk vans (in the early days), GWR slat-sided vehicles etc.. - most of which would be carrying milk &/or cream in churns. There were also fitted flat wagons carrying road tankers, depending on the source of the traffic, as not all the dairies had direct rail access..

    Apart from the ghastly front end, which looks like it's been designed by a child, using lego bricks... The rest of the thing looks like a 58 on steroids.. Once upon a time, engineers cared about how their brainchilds looked... perhaps they were deliberately going for a low-budjet sci-fi kinda feel?

    There's some new 'Three Friends' tracks/clips been posted on you-tube by 'zboyphillips' from their recent gigs in Japan... This band is a reincarnation of Gentle Giant, featuring 3 original members.. THis is getting really interesting, & I'd recommend a quick shooftie to any lover of 70's prog rock...

    I'm getting very fed up because the workshop cd player has gone blind from the spray dust that inevitably gets in it... Though I was listening to Level 42;- 'Retroglide' & Funeral for a Friend's ' Casually Dressed & Deep in Conversation'.... Her indoors has been playing Kelly Clarkson's 'Breakaway', which finishes with a live track, 'Beautiful Disaster', which makes my hair stand on end... Just fabulous;- check it out...
