Does that mean that the three forthcoming industrial versions announced by Heljan, and drawings shown on the Tower site, are fictitious?
Paul
Not sure on the others but 2594 is presumably based on D2587 and D2595 as used at Chadderton Power station. With both being ex-BR examples this makes the model suitable.

Info elsewhere states nose seams are on the CAD and will be on the next sample.

Locomotive No. 37706 was purchased by West Coast Railways in 1998.
Nit picking yes, but 37706 was operating with EWS until late 2004, heading to Carnforth in early 2008.

And for those of us who don't do Facetube?
You don't have to be signed up to view - click away and have a look!

It looks to me like there's two styles of Bachmann 47s that have split paths somewhere in the past - the 47/0 which has the rivetted windows and ex-Class 57 tanks, and the 47/4 (and variations thereof as well as the mid-life 47/3) that has the correct body and variations of correct tanks. It's a shame that Bachmann haven't binned the incorrect 47/0 tooling and just stuck with the 47/4 (how many people would have minded a headlight for the sake of having correct tanks and windows?)

Having been away from the world of RMWeb, layouts, scenery, OO gauge, DCC, sound files etc, for a few years while I ventured into building O gauge locos, I'm now back in this zone planning a new DCC HO layout. It's good to see this old 'sounds' thread still running with some great videos to watch.
I thought I'd post this link an old video I made showing a OO 8F running on my previous layout.
See if you can identify the sound chip:

Does nothing for me I'm afraid - I was keen until the chuffs fell completely out of sync with the wheel rotations...

Full marks on the railtour rake - it's great to see someone truly making the effort rather than buying 1960s era mk1s and a 'random' steam loco and running that.

The stock photo on the Hattons website shows the lack of headcodes, and it's entirely authentic - there's a great photo on Flickr of D9526 at Westbury in 1977 (that unfortunately I can't link to properly as I'm on my phone!) showing the removed headcodes.
Edit - hope this works....

All look good but it's a shame that '116 is the incorrect refurbished example. I suppose it's not too easy to get hold of 37/0 bodies right now...
-
And there doesn't appear to be a pantograph............ (ok for the 508, but not the 313/314?)
Would give my eye teeth for a decent 507/508....

######! Shame I missed it....looks a bit 150esque though?

Looking forward to some 73/0s.....

Sounds like the SWD 40 project, which would make sense considering the parentage of Bachmann's 20/25/37/47 sounds...
-
Now that would be fun.
Count us in, although i'm sure the gap between us is a bit more than the real life Glas-Edin route...!

For the record, the HST own Hunslet No.3888.

Hi All,
Has anyone any indication whether the tanks from under the Rails 47145 (and I presume the Modelzone 47972) will be available at some point as spares?

Glasgow Queen Street '88
A mix of late night researching, plasticard, and recreating a single year of ScotRail's legacy.
Will be available for exhibitons....just not quite yet!

It would look good on any layout that covered the era that it worked in when on the mainline.
If you're insinuating it in Heritage Green....all 8 months (?) of it! although of course there's countless Replica 45106s running around on '1960s' layouts.....a personal pet hate?

From the youtube clips, the steamers look quite decent but the diesels are lacking....although you can't go on too much from videos!

Some absolutely corking repaints there John, the Bachy 47 is proving a very nice basis for such....now to offload my Heljan ones.....
-
Very nice - much liking the Highland 24/1s!

If you're after a Dutch Skinhead 31 to model from the 31110 body, 31144 and 31444 are your only choices - as both share the 'top hat' and different fan grilles as 31110 did in this period. B)

Still personally a bit cheesed off about the change of direction for the Rail's 47145...but I guess it will appeal to those who like their stuff a bit more 'modern'?

Top stuff, nice to see you making the effort with removing the end steps too - it really does transform 'em!
