  1. Has just spent the day with year 1 (5&6 Year olds) and is totally exhausted! Thank god I've got Year 5 in September, at least they can work independently for more than 30 seconds!

      Who are these Foundation Children? Are they off-spring of Asimov? And what is this KS2? (sounds like a Dr Who mechanical dog!)

      Right Foundation is what most Reception classes are called now, Early Years Foundation Stage is where the name came from.

      Key Stage 2 (KS2) are children in Primary who are in Years 3-6, so 7-11 year olds. KS1 (Key Stage 1) refers to children in Years 1 & 2 (ages 5-7)

      Key Stage 3 (KS3) refers to children in Secondary School years 7-9 (or 11-14), Key Stage 4 is 14-16 (GCSE children) and Key Stage 5 are A-Level (Years 12-13) and if you are still confused I will explain on Monday...
