  1. Have determined that this is a Zimo MX644 chip so any help on what ohm speaker should be used?
  2. Anita's lovely and i think she should have her own show.
  3. Have been doing somemore work over the past few weeks and the first is a closeup under the bridge which I think looks fairly realistic. Also Buddlea has been sprouting up at odd places on the bank although could do with more.
  4. Hi yes the manufacterer is 145 and the decoder version 037
  5. Anyone here able to identify a 21 pin class 47 sound chip fitted in a Bachmann class 47? Bought from Rails of Sheffield as I only wanted the loco but the sound was a bonus. The problem is the sound is very mighty so much so you need to leave the room and i suspected it was a bass speaker. On opening it was and here are all the pics off the components. CV 63 was set to 64 but lowering numbers does'nt seem to do anything also F8 turns the sound on and off. Here are the functions keys 1 - 12 gaps are no sound but could be something else. F1 - sound F2 - Single horn F5 - two tone horn F6 - two tone horn F8 - Sound on/off F11 - wheel squeal
  6. Hi Mike - thanks for looking and good comments, sorry have been dormant on FB for a couple of years but was inspired to relaunch myself by GT47581 - just need to work out how it works - LOL Also by doing things this way encourages you more to keep working at it!
  7. Did a bit more work yesterday to follow the curve round to the overbridge. Put a Skadedale building in but it does'nt look right maybe to big?
  8. Hi Chris I think getting the track right to start is most important. The outer curve is approximately 3'6" radius, this was laid first and i used the plastic Peco 6'0" way gauge to judge the other two curves, obviously they are needing to go wider because of the overhand caused by coaches and side swipe. Its a bit of trial and error but it normally works! Overgroan bank is Woodlands scenics foliage just teased out and white PVA glued. I will update these photos as their is more finished.
  9. Hi if you look at the most recent image I have now covered it. But thanks for looking and your good comments most appreciated.
  10. Dapol class 121 weathered and with sound made a visit today courtesy GT47581
  11. I have a feeling that Buxdale should be in Scotland (maybe McBuxdale) as 80/90's period diesels still get a vote from me for the best time plus my fleet still keeps building even on a limited budget. Its a basic tail chaser built in a workshop 12'0” x 8'0” and totally based on “birdbaths” Girl Guide Bridge also steeped in the blue era. Just turning he's plan upside down fitted in fine and also gave me an impetus to get on with a working layout. Track-work is Peco code 75 and comprise double track mainline with an inner bi-directional track allowing 3 operators to just play trains. Although started about this time last year I've now got down to starting the scenics , my main interest. All material being Woodlands scenics. I'm posting some images of work I've been doing over the last couple of weeks and covering a corner area. I'll try and post more as I go along if your interested. The corner before work. Now transformed but note green splodge in ballast its acrylic paint not sure how to remove maybe a case of reballasting that area also some ballast cracking and ballast has to be filled in by ducting. A drivers view under bridge. Looking from inside the layout towards the bridge their has been more work done since this photo. View of the corner, undecided on top surface but I fancy some caravaners and also appropriate trees. Those shown are Noch. Because of the track configuration its making it more interesting to signal the middle track. So I'm creating my own structures using the Dapol signal gantries and Traintronics signal heads. Heres one to demonstrate, it does work. The feather works via the point motor switch and because of the clever electronics it only works when yellow or green aspects are showing soon as you switch to red it switches out. New image below.
  12. Excellent pics Gary railbus fits in well and will be a big period step back,
  13. If this was a paid membership site i would'nt bother joining!
  14. Having been brought up in the days of Peter Denys Buckingham and David Jenkinson's skillful modelling its a refreshing change to see younger modellers like IC82 taking a totally new light on this hobby. I've whatched many of he's videos and i find them really good entertainment - good for you young man! Can I also mention Youtubers - Dean Park and Everard Junction in their reviewing and modelling.
  15. Further to my last post their will always be people who will have a negative attitude. My late mother was a perfect example of this she would never have a bank account - "I always do cash"! until her pension had to go into one. So when it happend and a plastic card also arrived which ment she could easily pay for things without the fuss of cash and suddenly it was like the best thing since sliced bread!!! So have a try on Ebay its great fun.
  16. I've been on their 14 years tomorrow believe it or not as a seller and buyer. I've also done trade tables at swapmeets and shows but I always fall back to Ebay, I've had good sales and i've had some disasters but you learn by your mistakes. I have no issue on costs its something you have to be prepared to put up with but if you make some good sales or pick some bargains up then they out weigh that issue. The trouble is now that postage can be silly but if you inbuild it into something your selling then it can tempt the punters and like someone else has said sell multiple items like wagons to keep postage more fair. Long may Ebay live but theirs no harm in a bit of competition!!
