  1. I live near the former Waveney Valley line and have most of the books featuring it. (I'm planning a micro layout probably going to be called Flixton Pits a fictional aggregates loading point where 009 NG loads into SG wagons) Looking through the books sand loading is mentioned at/near Homersfield (near to Flixton's current day quarry) and Ditchingham but i've not found and info or photos of where or how it was loaded. Anyone one seen anything? It is also interesting that repatriated from France 16T Mineral wagons were used in later days. Parkside make a kit. Presumably 5 plank open were wagons previously. Thank you in advance for any info
  2. We've been in discussions today about what to do regarding our event Sunday and its been decided as we're also a part of the National Heritage Open Days that we'll go ahead with the event. There will be a minutes silence at 10.30.

  12. I've got a little test track using 5 1/2" radius but only very small 0-4-0s and small wagons will go round it. Minitrains locos are fine round it.
  13. I started the Norfolk & Suffolk Narrow Gauge Modellers a few years ago and we meet outside Beccles. We have members travelling from Swaffham, Ipswich, Wymondham etc so people are prepared to travel if they really want to. We generally get around 15 to a meet. Obviously I appreciate its a broader subject. Good luck

  21. Arbor Models brought out a kit for Sierra No3 but was very difficult to get together successfully apparantly. Plans have been in the Narrow Gauge And Shortline Gazette Published in the January/February 1991 issue
