Thanks for that. Will see what the godess of google can turn up on that and have a nice big tub of talc to try tomorrow night.

Thanks for that as that helps with the colours. I think I probably do agree about your comment on canopy trees for the Sisal tree.

Thanks for the feedback. Seamoss is something I have seen and may work for the main trees. Might get a box to have a play around with and have a play with for the smaller branches.

Actually I have to take it back in time. The 1st house in the lower half of the picture will become a barn as it was in the 70s and the barn on the right now has a modern extension. I am still hunting for a few pictures of that.
The main house in the top half does not need to many changes. Just the extension on the back left side which gets shrunk. I may be able to get hold of the original 70s picture as I have asked the architects if they have a copy I could use.

I know this one having just come out the other side. Its taken me 6 weeks to fit the last 5 land form pieces, where as the other 40 went in 1 night.
What ever you do in the mean time, enjoy.

Missy, Can you put up a picture of the drill set-up you used to do this?
Also, do you use anything to magnify what you are doing?

Thanks for posting this. It has sparked a question about the gaps involved. I have used 9mm MDF for my board, so if I put these runners under a piece of MDF, what is the gap between the MDF and the other board that the runners are mounted to?
I was thinking of building a sector plate, but this looks a whole load simpler.

I would suggest you look at My layout topic but it turns out that has very few pictures of trains on the layout. I may have to do something about that.
As far as the steps go, the steps are at one end of the station with the main building which sits on the road above.

This made me chuckle as I had written a blog along similar lines and posted a few mins before you did. I'm glad its not just me that had the same thought about not having achieved anything.

I asked Peco about the 3 way point at the Warley exhibition and he said it is most likely to be available in Q4 2010 but they were not yet ready to commit to a month. Its a piece which interests me as it is likely to cause me to kill my current layout as I can use it design a much better fiddle yard.
I'll be interested to see how you get on building with your son as I also have a 6 year old and we have a piece of 4*2 with set track and we are both thinking that we need to make it much better.

I tried this with cascamite powered wood resin once in the past and found it worked pretty well. Only issue was a couple of cracks in the ballast as i put too much powder in.
I am thinking of trying again as i had no point gumming up issues. There is a thread on this from some time back.
