Following on from above, I contacted the legal profession and was advised it is quite easy to take action if the police are invloved and they take action but more difficult if no police action.
I'm off to the doctors tomorrow as I'm worried that blood was drawn and it's best to get it checked out and sorted. Thanks for the advice, I will be talking to a police buddy at 11pm for advice on the next step.
Second that - my friend had a big chunk torn out of his face by a dog a few months ago. But he didn't tell the police which one it was because he didn't want it put down! Now it's free to mutilate other children, now...
