  1. Tim and Karen would like to apologise for a short notice shop closure as a result of a personal issue (they are both fine). The shop will be closed for the rest of this week. Next week (w/c 05/10) the shop will operate on a mail order only basis. Posted by Nigel Emery on behalf of Tim Housley, Arcadia Models, Shaw
  2. Nominally set in 2002 thus avoiding the need for noise reduction wall! However locos from a good number of years before and after will visit! Also I have an alternative history post 2016 where the depot gets taken over by Lokomotion and Rail Adventure.
  3. Currently being constructed for me by Neil at The Little Layout Company is a representation of the Depot at Erstfeld. Basic spec is: Tim Horn boards Tillig track DCC using an NCE powercab Cobalt IP digital motors (should be changed for Servos using MegaPoints Controllers when Neil can get them to work!) Somerfeldt catenary The depot building was build about 10 years ago by Peter Leyland for my now abandoned loft layout. Its build was fully documented on RM Web at the time! 4. Phoned the shop today to discover that Tim has suffered a mild heart attack and is in hospital. Karen and Trevor doing their best to keep things going for the 6 weeks or so that Tim is expected to be out of action. Let's hope Tim makes a full recovery, get well soon.
  5. For me the extra spots in the triangle above the warning yellows changes the all important face of the loco but happy to accept that others will disagree! You certainly right about that corner of 007. It's different to the other 3 on that loco. Indeed I'm going crossed eyed here looking at white spots but I think it's safe to say that there is minor variation on all 8 corners. That does make it tricky for Dapol to model.
  6. I think the Scotrail ones have issues as well assuming that is that the pictures on Hattons site are of the production model. The white spots on the cab sides seem to wrong. Where the blue meets the black the real thing has a series of half spots, on the model they are full. Also the model has a white spot or two touching the yellow nose that shouldn't be there. There's also something wrong with the relationship between the blue spots and the nameplate, the nameplate shouldn't cut into the spots as much as it does. So that leaves the Chiltern One! Nigel
