That has to be the most stupid comment yet .

    Regards Arran

Its a joke Arran ..... !!!  And check back through the thread .... you'll find a lot that are stupider ..... that is also a joke ........ Take it you've never been to the Warley Show at the NEC ....... go there and then lets revisit the comment ..... its well known and discussed for being a haven for the great unwashed as they are 'affectionately' known ....... but if it offends you then I apologise - just trying to lighten the mood mate.

If a visitor has had both jabs I don't see why it should be necessary to wear masks. If it becomes obligatory then I doubt if I would attend, the damned things are so uncomfortable. It's OK for a few minutes if I have to pop into a shop or if the shopping precinct is crowded, but for several hours - don't think so.

They should make masks compulsory at exhibitions even if there wasn't a pandemic on ...... cuts out the smell of Body Odour which seems to waft around most of these exhibitions ........

We had emailed Hornby recently regarding spares for the pantograph. They had just run out of stock a week or two prior to our email. But we were told that spares will be available again when the next batch comes in. They are free as far as we know.  But that could change.

We also emailed Simon Kohler and hopefully convinced him to update the Class 87 with sprung pantographs like the Class 91 and to sell the Class 87 pantographs and spares/use it with the Class 90 and Class 92.

I know of a few people who have emailed Simon or spoken to him at shows previously about this and it gets the nod .... but then ignored .........The 87 Pantograph is awful snd very plastic and prone to snapping ..... lets hope the ones on the 91 are better .......

Few completions today which is a bit of Deja vu for 58033, 90002 and 90045 as I've done all of these for other customers. First up 58033 which was a rework of 58030 with the high up gold band and resprayed bodysides topped off with a good helping of wear and tear and grime,

    IMG_3329.jpg.b8745424977c569f0a208f0ee6fee224.jpgIMG_3341.jpg.93ba40f4d322b5ee8e9afd3c8721d567.jpg

The other 58 is 003 which was in for replacement numbers, a front number and some repairs to a glue run on the nameplates. Its all back to normal now,

90045 was a renumber and weather, decals from Steve @railtec-models . There's quite a few detail differences from the original 90042 donor

Real shame that the camera doesn't pick up the colours in the roof but here's a pic anyway

    IMG_3333.jpg.79ad8829f59e58b8ab19d3766e2cd2d6.jpg

The other 90 was 002 Wolf of Badenoch ex works in it's current condition with LSL

    IMG_3335.jpg.60e1857458270813027478c2ea4309a6.jpg

and to round off the day work started on prepping a 37 which will be going into EWS!

    That's enough for today.....

Shock .... doing 90002 as well !! Though may well keep this one for myself ......

Strangely I’ve always liked the BR Intercity Mainline livery - just the way it made the 90s look more workmanlike compared to the full Swallow which is quite bling bling! Always thought Swallow would’ve looked nicer with full white skirts similar to the 91s though!

But my soft spot is for Virgin being the radical new livery taking over when I was just getting into modelling and that’d be my top wishlister! :imsohappy:

    Cheers,

    James

    Really ???

I know exactly what you mean, and yet, i am still tempted by a ficticious but logical livery or three

Got me thinking now ...... Original Railfreight or Large Logo would look good but the grills on the one bodyside might affect the positioning of the logo ..... COLAS would look good .... hmmmmm got me thinking now ........ shall I do one .....?
