  1. loads of CC went north of Stoke as it has a variety of uses other than for making pots. In fact most of the CC produced approximately on 10% was ever used in the pottery industry. As stated paper, cleaning products to name but a few. Most likely destinations were paper mills at various locations through out the north west and scotland
  2. Errmm what software??? The approach to BF was controlled via relay interlocking never an SSI in sight, and as i spent many hours in the cabinets making it work and trying to replicate the problem without success i can speak with some authority and the system is now mothballed What I can tell you is that it is now working from a ground frame.
  3. the last was at Appleby now consigned to history
  4. at 1620 this afternoon 60011 was near Chester le Street, so unless it's got hyperdrive and the black box removed it ain't her. Best guess 60074 needs a good wash
  5. Dark Blue Tug 60011 is in the current pool WCAI and was working the 6D43 Jarrow - Lindsey this afternoon so unlikely to be that one. 60074 was working the 6B47 Westerleigh- Robeston which is the more likely candidate
  6. You will end up with a rail that is shorter on the inside of the curves than the out side. So no matter how you arrange your panels you still may have to cut one rail. As stated there is usually nothing less than 15ft. In my experience loops that have recently been constructed tend to work in 60ft panels (well metric alternative) and have been calculated in standard length units rather measuring it in feet/metres.
  7. You don't pay the mortgage the bank take back your house. It's all down to a technical breach of contract, where one party in return for running rights as far as Bedgelert would provide a stretch of track. Didn't happen so the contract was voided. Simple.
  8. Recent Tug action around Stoke-on-Trent Carters Crossing Stoke Station on 6K32 with a difference Longport Running bang road at Stoke
  9. picked up the emrys clayliner wagons at Bescot. Managed a record shot of it passing through Stoke Station as it went into Cliffe Vale, however when it returned to marcroft it was light engine
  10. Tug 85 is working the 6K32 to Stoke Marcroft from Warrington. Interestingly the mistrust machine has it routed via a runround at Stafford.
  11. Currently two are diagrammed for the 6Z67 Liverpool BT - Ratcliffe returning as 6F18 to Warrington and the second 6Z80 Liverpool BT- Ratcliffe. Times for Stoke-on-Trent are 6Z67 is 11.22 and the 6Z80 is 16.36. But both tend to run early with the 6Z80 much earlier than booked for the passed few days. 60085 28/04/10
  12. Went pop near Haltwhistle between Newcastle and Carlisle on the empties. Dragged to Midland Road by a shed. There will be more trials both north and south of the border for a few weeks. Need to familiarise the Crews at various depots. So it looks like more maybe on the way.
  13. 60009 is currently on the 6H06 Oakleigh Sidings (Northwich) - Tunstaed working. As for 37419 things may be looking up. It was running at Crewe IEMD the other week and I understand has been transferred to Toytown pending Load bank testing and a possible return to traffic.
  14. Something better change - The Stranglers
  15. That's nowt. You should have seen 70001 when it was at Lawley Street just before it ran up to midland road. Thought they had a class 17 in the yard. There was so much clag rising from the exhaust.
  16. 16/03/10 70003 worked the Stoke Gifford-Avonmouth-Rugeley Circuit this morning returning to Stoke Gifford as 4Z70. 70004 is on the Ellesmere Port-Fiddlers Ferry-Ellesmere Circuit 70006 is on the Avonmouth -Rugeley-return 6M55 and even more impressive 70005 is on its way to Stud Farm with a ballast train. Returning later on this evening to Crewe Basford Hall
  17. Not that trusted then as on the 11/03/10 70003 was out on the 6M55 Avonmouth-Rugeley 70005 was working ellesmere port-Fiddlers Ferry Diagram having replaced 70004 which ran light engine from warrington to Crewe Basford Hall having exchanged with 70005 Today 13/03/10 70005 is currently working the fiddlers-ellesmere circuit and with the exception of 001 (Showing X) all are showing as normal(N) on the trusted computer system. so it looks like your source is well wrong
  18. Generally the route into the power station is via Walsall-Cannock Chase-Rugeley Town but a few workings have come in via Rugeley TV and then reverse into the power station
  19. Sometimes for no apparent reason they route the 6M55 Avonmouth-Rugeley PS via Crewe rather than the usual route across through Telford-Wolverhampton-Cannock Chase. I have known this to happen on at least two occassions. Using the Crewe route usually means a later arrival at Rugeley. Here are some shots of various 70's 70003 near Slitting Mill Rugeley 70006 near Stableford 70006 at Rugeley Town Station 70001 at Saltley
  20. DRS has already handed back the first 10 66/4's to the leasing company when it took delivery of the second batch of 66/4's(411-434)which haven't been the success that it would be hoped. Fuel being a particular problem, as they aren't as fuel efficient as it was hoped. One diagram sees them with fuel to get to Kingmoor on a return leg to Scotland. Some services have just made it to Carlisle on fumes in the fuel tank. 66434 has been transferred to Fastline and is now working for them (well it will be when it leaves Gresty Bridge) DRS are unlikely to want a fleet of tugs due to the fact they don't need the heavy haul capacity. and most of the services they run are 75mph intermodals or nuclear flasks and with the tugs having a grand top speed of 62 mph then they would be no use on the 75mph paths on the WCML. Sad to say but the Tugs are doomed in the current economic climate Current status of a few working is likely to continue for a while but eventually they will all go.
  21. has not set their status

  22. Dimmed down the light in my one operational 17 (the other two are with Hattons getting the chassis replaced) with a spot of Warm yellow emulsion from Homebase carefully droppped on the bright white LED (why they didn't use yellow ones I don't know).
  23. I do have somewhere an 04 that I would live to make DCC Any chance of a guide for the Bachmann 04 or mainline 03. I know there will be a new 03 along from Bachmann in the near future which will be a 6pin DCC ready jobby
