    After a lengthy chat with my physio it's looking like I'm never going to recover from the accident & I'm going to be left permanently disabled. A very hard pill to swallow :(

      Don't give up, whatever the experts may say. Accepting that there is no hope will almost certainly mean the physio's prophesy will come true. This is a well known phenomenon in medical circles. Cling on to some hope and things might just turn out for the better. Even a little improvement would be better than no progress at all. Have hope!
