lessons learnt can be hard... but I think you did admirably anyway. It was great to see the layout and yes, considering that this is a cabin-luggage item, it was fantastic!
Do keep up the good work Pete, I know that I'll keep watching.

Pete,
I agree with James and Missy... it looks truly great. I look forward to seeing it tomorrow at the show.

The photo of 34049 reminds me of how clan line looked as she was bought from BR - well, in terms of condition anyway... my father says that they all spend many many hous just hacking away at the grease and gunge on the underframe and wheels with scrapers before finding anything that resembled metal - strange when you look at her now in concourse condition !
Nice work staining on 34050 looks terribly realistic... actually found myself looking to see if that was steam blowing gently from the safety valves in the photo.
Yes, I love these beasts too... I just hope that 34081 can get the funds secured for her overhaul soon - and get back to what she does best - wow teh crowds - still.., at least there's a few of these around

Hi Pete, As if your sketches weren't good enough, that model of the layout is neat. The shape of one of the figures is quite nice too. I find myself wondering whether you'' pursue this mock-up completely and put down some T gauge track and stock to represent Coombe Junction. And perhaps display that on the platform .
It's looking good Pete... I need to start planning my little TMD layout and the way you go about this gets the old grey cells ticking over. Thanks!
