Dave How are you getting on with the drawings, does it look like an accurate 21 can be produced from them?

Looking fantastic, Heljan seem to be producing some quality models. They look like they are closer to the release date of June stated by Hattons, could an April release be on the cards?

This is very encouraging news, its nice to know that work on this model can now continue and I look forward to see it progress. Dave, although early days, if these are the pilot scheme drawings will you be doing the original class 21 variant initially, or will you continue down the class 29 facelift version first? Cheers Paul

Its all very frustrating, I just wish I had the information to help the drawings in Modern Locomotives Illustrated were to OO scale but they are just that with little in the way of dimensions. Is the person who drew these still contactable? They must off had the relevant information to produce those drawings. With Heljan releasing the 23, 16 and original 26 this year these will complete the diesel line up for the Eastern region.

Max Stafford: The Mitchell Library in Glasgow may well be a good source as I understand they are the keeper of the NBL archive. Dave. Dave, he is probably already aware of this but have you passed this information on to Dapol Dave, I cant see he would have overlooked this though, but every little snippet may help avoid further delays.

Dave, Have you had any joy in finding the relevant information/drawings for the 21/29 in order to proceed further? Having done some research alot of the drawings seem to be located in a university and museum in Glasgow, although I highly suspect you've tried this avenue. I haven't the knowledge to help further but in modern locomotives illustrated they have OO scale drawings of both class 21 and 29.

Mine turned up yesterday very pleased to have it back, looks like its the chassis from the R3144 model soon to be released, they may already be in the country.

Cheers, Nice to know they are progressing well with both, I am looking forward to these so not bothered in what order they come in. Will Heljan be showing the samples to the public? Howes usually have the samples so will have to take a trip along there to have a sneaky peek.

The latest poster with the new class 27 releases included states that the early version of the baby deltic is due next month, has anyone seen a pre production sample yet? Or are they being a bit hopefull of meeting that.

Thankyou Peter, Always had a interest in these wagons and type of traffic, I constantly put them on wishlists. Dapol will definately do them justice if they are up to the quality of recent releases and will be purchasing a few. Tunsley Dale still impresses me. Cheers Paul

I rang them to change my address and they were very helpful. They let me know that they expect the chassis's in stock in the next 2-4 weeks but this was not guaranteed, they did say if they didnt arrive in this time frame letters will be sent out.

Just been informed parts for my Green 31 should be with Hornby within next couple of weeks, so it depends where it is in the repair queue. They've had mine for over 6 months but others have been waiting longer, will wait and see if people start receiving theirs nearer October time.

Ive had mine with Hornby for 6 months, im not expecting them to replace the chassis until November which is when the next green version is due to arrive. This is more of an educated guess mind.

Now in stock at Hattons, just waiting for the payment confirmation and despatch emails. Whoop!!

It was showing as in stock over the weekend, looks like they may have made a mistake and corrected it since. Oh well will have to wait a little longer.

Thats what I thought, it was only the fact that DapolDave said Class 29 CAD/CAM no mention of the Class 21, this made me think that only the Class 29 was being done and maybe there was a change of plan. They are probably being done at the same time I think Dave has said that he has designed special insert plates so the 21 can be done as well. Just me being a mong and to eager to have an early plain green 21 to run on my Eastern region layout. Cheers

Cheers Dave, Its good to know they are in progress and the experts on here can have thier input into this project, although I doubt there will be as many than with the Western. Just to clarify are you doing the class 29 with centre headcode first, if so are the current catalogue numbers going to change as the Class 29's never wore BR plain green livery as stated with numbers 1001A/B/C. Does this mean you will be doing the 1002A/B/C first and then backdating to Class 21 with disc headcodes? Regards Paul

Just noticed on the Bachmann website, Class 40 (32-481) in BR Green Centre Headcode, all these new releases and an extra Class 40 as well. I don't think its been mentioned yet in the main announcements.

Its a strange one as Kernow have batch numbers 1600 to 1603 available to pre-order, 1600 being D8400 in plain green(not gloss). Hattons have batch numbers 1601 to 1605 where 1604 is D8409 in gloss plain green. Its strange that Hattons dont have 1600 in their list and Kernow don't have 1604 and 1605. I've obviously been looking to hard when trying to decide on the ones I want, has anyone else noticed this?
