  1. Happy New Year, may 2019 inspire more modelling!

  2. Happy Xmas to everyone on here!

  3. Unusual trip out today - just arrived home after successfully retrieving someone's hearing aid which dropped out onto the perimeter of an astroturf pitch yesterday (Sunday)

  5. Today I enjoyed riding behind 43924 and 53808 at the KWVR steam gala. Also rode behind 70013 Oliver Cromwell for the first time since seeing it as a kid at Bressingham and didn't have a chance to ride on the footplate on that loco there when such things were allowed!

  6. Well done Pompey as League 2 champions!

  7. This weekend isn't the only railway exhibition in Doncaster. There's an exhibition of rail memorabilia in the Frenchgate Shopping Centre until 7th March http://www.visitdoncaster.com/news/rare-rail-memorabilia-steams-into-doncaster-s-frenchgate-shopping-centre

  8. Happy New Year, keep calm, carry on modelling!

I might be waiting a long time.

  9. 2016/17 Football League fixtures now posted on web - feel tempted to attend match at Crewe on 13/8 and/or Blackpool on 27/9 for the illuminations

  10. There are (or were) two locos on the national network called Lisa and Debbie. I only found out today that 08 644 was at one time called Debbie. Both my cousins share the same name and Dapol's class 73 named Lisa has just been ordered ...

08644 is often the stand in loco at my local depot (Long Rock) when the resident shunter (410) goes for repair

08644 carried Debbie whilst in blue during 1984 but lost it sometime before 1988 http://shunterspot.myfreeforum.org/08644_about794.html

  15. Saw Hornby's 4VEPs in the flesh for the first time at one well known emporium in Sheffield, they looked OK to me, but I instead bought a Railroad 9F and six Bachmann DCC chips instead with my p/exchange allowance.

  17. I was born in Birmingham and Metro-Cammell was a major builder here so do I spend money on a Blue Pullman or a Brighton Belle now they've announced for 2011 or just stick to what's most relevant given my circumstances??

If I bought something just because if it was made in my birthplace I'd have a flat filled with bubblewrap and flags... I, personally, would stick to whats most relevant to your layout, then if you can afford the BP after that then you can buy it as well. :O)
