  1. The Cossart valve gear is rotary so the return cranks are arranged to be opposite to the connecting rod crank and the shape of the rod attached to the crank is weighted to help with balance ! The valve gear operating rods do not oscillate a link as for Walschearts and similar gears but cause the crank on the cylinder to rotate to drive the valve gear. The upper rod is just perforated for lightness. The cranks at each side are arranged at 90 Degrees to give continuous motion. Hope this helps.
  2. Hi.I have the Ge 6/6 I and II . The instructions for both say that they can be adjusted for H0e and H0m but does not say exactly how. Both boxes list the models as H0e and H0m and is not specific as to which is in the box. Both models of mine are H0m but the axles have splines under the wheel centres which suggest they can be slid along the axles to suit either gauge. I have searched the web but cannot find more info so it may be best to contact Bemo or a distributor to ask how. Regards, Colin.Ge 6_6 I Loose parts & operating instructions.pdf
  3. There is this book but I don't know if it has line drawings. http://www.michaelsbookshop.com/catalogue/the_ramsgate_tunnels__main_line_public_airraid_shelter___scenic_railway__.htm There is also this listing from Amazon although I cannot find one for sale. The Ramsgate Tunnel Railway Unknown Binding – 1968 by Geoffrey Body (Author),‎ Robert Lockwood Eastleigh (Author Just a thought - The Post office railway under London uses locos built by English Electric which look similar to those at Ramsgate but with no covering bodywork ! I rode on the railway as a teenager and was fascinated by it although it was run down by then. My Aunt and Uncle lived at Deal so used to visit Kent regularly. Regards, Colin
  4. Hi. I used to visit and ride on this railway just before it closed. My favorite seat was in the end compartment of one of the coaches which has two seats looking out through end windows and may have been one of the Yarmouth multiple unit coaches, The ride was through an area with long grass with fairground vehicles scattered throughout so not very attractive but it was the ride that counted ! The fairground was on it's last legs by then and I remember that the "Ghost house" or whatever it was called consisted of walking around in semi-darkness with things hanging from the ceiling and treading on old matresses with flattened springs. I did not visit Sutton Park for many years because there was a charge for entering - the local ratepayers had free access and you could spot a car from the area because of the distinctive windscreen sticker which allowed access and was I believe sent out with the rates demand. I visited last year but could not find any trace of the railway but there are supposed to be some but because it was winter and bitterly cold I was not keen to look too hard. Perhaps another day. I have visited Cleethorpes since but the Sutton equipment was not working and hope to visit again one day. Regards. Colin.
  5. I don't know of any line drawings referring to the railway but there is a book which has good photos of the stock and some buildings. It is " The Ramsgate Tunnel Railway" by Peter A Harding ISBN 9523458 9 7 2005. I see that some copies are still available and I see that the Bluebell Railway shop has one for £4.00. Hope this helps. Regards, Colin.
  6. The DB 05 003 had it's boiler reversed with the firebox at the front ! As usual the Douglas Self site explains. http://www.douglas-self.com/MUSEUM/LOCOLOCO/05003/05003.htm Hope this helps.
  7. Hi, To remove any problems I have deleted the post but I must say I have not had any problems reported before with videos stored on Photobucket and posted on forums and I have had no problems with Pop-ups. Regards, Colin.
