One of my friends from my modelling group came over a couple of months ago and gave me a good idea to finish off the Old Station Cafe. Add a couple of “Cafe Parking Only” signs against the fence. So I have done this and it kind of completes the scene. Thanks you Scott, for the great idea.

They can't be far away now as I've just received an email for payment of the remainder.
Yet - I paid in full in January.
I have contacted the chat line................
Hi Mick,I have just received an email for the remainder of my payment for 66001. Which I paid in full in March and received my loco shortly afterwards. I am wondering if their payment system has been hacked. Very strange.

Spent some of this morning in the Hobbyroom, as it also doubles as storage area, and will have a lot of Uni stuff in there when my two come home in a few weeks time. Did have a chance to run a couple of trains.
50031 Hood waits in the Up Loop as 43179 Pride of Laira heads a Paddington bound train.
37711 Tremorfa Steel Works heads homewards to South Wales on a lengthy consist from the midlands.
Closely followed by 47555 Commonwealth Spirit on a Crewe to Newport TPO
Class 108 passes the old Steelworks at Foundry Junction.
50031 Hood finally gets the “Road” and heads towards Bescot.

Very impressed with the Class 175 on display at the NEC. The Revolution chaps are doing a fantastic job. Can’t wait to see the decorated samples in due course.

Noticed x4 of the HOA’s on the Revolution Trains stand at the Model World Live event at the NEC. Chatted to Ben and Mike B, there are not far away now….

Whilst driving out of Southampton this evening and passing the stacks of containers in the port (some stacks are x7 containers high). I did wonder if there were any Revolution HOA’s in any of those containers. Lol…

I had a little operating session late last night. Had a little experiment to run all my sector era trains on the layout (x14 trains, just one lap), and to see how long it took me (also had x2 freights stop in the up loop to allow trains to pass). The whole thing took me 19minutes and 5 seconds. Great fun

Very excited to see that the HOA’s are on the high seas and expected Mid April. I can’t wait to get my hands on these and get them on the layout.

Nice photos, but where's the team photo Nigel???
That GB depot looks like a model. Now there's an idea. 🤣
I don’t think we did a team photo, which thinking about it is a real shame. The depot at Peterborough is amazing, the letting is so big, unbelievable. Maybe Bachmann will do it as they have done the single DB one, which is about a mile away. -

Not much to to with Wyvern Road, but yesterday myself and a bunch of RMWebbers set of to have a day chasing the Class 91’s, before they disappear. Kings Cross to Doncaster then back to Peterborough for the afternoon and then back to KGX. Riding 91130 & 91106. It was a fantastic day out and lots of interesting traction to Observe.

The Police are after Del Boy for the “In the Post” sticker over the car tax and parking in a disabled bay. Very naughty

Just read the article in the BRM. A great article and fantastic photos. I have enjoyed reading your articles on how you built your slice of the WCML in model form.
David have you any plans to take it to any Exhibitions or is it just a stay at home layout? -

@Melangoose Nigel there are some cracking memories amongst all those pictures, thanks for sharing.
Have you digitised all you pictures from back then, if you have what did you find was the easiest way of doing them, standard scanner, scan from negative with some software or did you find a better way?
I just took a picture on my iphone of the original print.Don’t have time in my life to scan all the pictures that I have. Maybe that’s a job for when I retire or go part time (but that won’t be for another 10 years or so).

With thoughts of the good old days on the Thames loco hauled on these recent pages. I thought that I would trawl through some old pictures to see what I could find (excuse the quality, it was a long time ago).

It’s funny how personal paths intertwined through life. At least we have those cherished memories.

Hi Folks,
Does anyone in the know, have any idea as to if delivery in the 2nd quarter of 2024 (next month) is still on track?
