  1. Many thanks that sounds like a good idea
  2. Many thanks the rake seems to run over the points and diamond crossings with no issues at all, so I hadnt checked the back to back as its only when it passes through over one of the large radii curves. It never seems to be the same curve either, but always the same wagon. I have even switched to magnetic couplings with no difference. Best wishes and thanks, Chris
  3. Many thanks Gents very interesting, sorry its a 00 Gauge layout. Good point I will check the distance between the buffers I hadn't thought of that exellent point. The track is cleaned and appears to be fairly clean. Many thanks and Best Wishes, Chris
  4. Many thanks Gents much appreciated yes I think a check rail is the answer. I have checked the couplings using standard NEM couplings, Kaydee Couplings and megnetic couplings and the problem persists. Tried experimeneting with adding weights and lossening the bogies, so I think the answer is suggested is to use a check rail. Many thanks and Best Wishes, Chris
  5. We have just finished converting a very old layout to DCC however one of the curves is rather tight not sure what radius it is, but one or two of my wagons (not all) derail and or decouple. Unfortunately the track cannot be relaid as it has been previously super glued into position (it would appear) as we have tried to relay the track but it wont budge. So just wondering if anyone knows some one who manuafctures something like a template that would fit inside the track so the wheels adhere to the track. We made a tempoary template which we inserted inside the track using cardboard and this did indeed work and the wagons stopped derailing / decoupling, as the wheels were forced to follow the curvature of the track. Appreciate any thoughts, many thanks. Best Wishes, Chris
  6. I recently purchased a rake of the superb weathered BOC Tanks from Olivias Trains, but I have a couple of wagons which continuosly derail, just wondering if there is a fix? My other wagons run perfectly fine including my 100 TEA Tanks. Best Wishes and Many thanks Chris
  7. Many thanks just been directed to this site which looks excellent 00 Gauge - Porterhouse Models
  8. Brilliant thank you never heard of them, thank you Best Wishes, Chris
  9. Happy Christmas to everyone, does anybody know if Hornby are going to release longer couplings as 20mm is still rather tight on points and I have had a couple of derailments - 25mm would be ideal ? Best Wishes, Chris
  10. I would go for 20mm Magnetic Couplings otherwise traversing over points can be problematic. Does anybody know if Hornby are going to release longer couplings as 20mm is still rather tight on points and I have had a couple of derailments - 25mm would be ideal ? Best Wishes, Chris
  11. Many thanks John thats very useful thank you. Best Chris
  12. Many thanks John can you tell me what CV 159 is? Also I have noted that the Two locos operate at different speeds how do I alter the speed? Thank you John, Best Wishes, Chris
  13. Many thanks Roy, AMJ very useful, managed to reverse one of them using CV29 =1. Thanks Roy very helpful. Best, Chris
  14. Many thanks John DCC Sound - Legomanbiffo Best Wishes, Chris
  15. I have two Class 20's DCC Sound unfortunately they run in opposite directions I want them to run in tandem. Just wondering how it is possible to do this? As I had forgotten that they would run in opposite directions. Many thanks Chris
  16. Many thanks Rob, sorry I converted it to this type some years ago, now I want to convert it back. Hope this makes sense. Best Chris
  17. This is the type I would like to fit on my Class 37's
  18. Many thanks yes its the plated headcodes, I have some DRS Class 37's which I have converted to BR Blue. So I want to apply the plated headcodes in lieu of the blanking plate that has been fitted. Hope this makes sense? Best Chris
  19. Many thanks Rob its for my Bachmann Class 37's which I have converted from Modern day DRS to 1970/1980's BR. Instead of the black and white do you sell the Yellow and white domino codes?, many thanks Chris
  20. Using my trusted Go Pro on York, HST passing York with DCC Sound on the High Level - YouTube
  21. Just finished converting my entire stock form modern day to BR 1970/1980's era. Just wondering if anyone knows if anyone sells the BR Domino codes that I can affix/stick to the Bachmann Class 37's? Many thanks Chris
  22. Hi Paul I have the same issue none of the Function keys are working properly. Cant turn the sound off either. Wish my horn was working! Best Chris
  23. Thanks Patrick emailed support earlier this morning. Just wondering how you remove the chassis so I can insert the driver into the cab? Many thanks, Chris
  24. Just received my Accurascale Class 37 DCC Sound which looks and sounds superb ... however I have a couple of comments 1) The loco takes forever to get up to speed 2) It doesn't respond to changes in function for example when pressing different function keys i.e horn on / off, light on / off etc, nothing happens 3) It wont change direction without turning the controller and the layout off at the mains and will only change direction when re-booted I have a gaugemaster prodigy advance controller with no issues on other Bachmann / Hornby / revolution trains. Otherwise very impressed Really appreciate any thoughts, many thanks Chris
