  3. Hi Peter, is the meeting on Sunday this month? I thought it was Saturday so got the wife to work Sunday! Great picture by the way. Your point rodding looks great. Where did you get the square (in cross section) strips for the rodding from? Cheers Neil
  4. That's good Peter. It wasn't sounding too good from what you said at the conference. Cheers Neil
  5. Looking good Peter. Nice pictures. How did you go with the layout tour on Monday? Did you get the day off work? cheers Neil
  6. Hi Peter, no worries see you then. Having a few camera problems at the moment so may be a little while for the piccies. Cheers Neil
  7. I know what you mean. I have been doing weathering of stock of late. I'm hoping to be right I ordered some sea cows and a rake of coaches from Hattons so I'm hoping they get here in time for the layout tour. All the locos are ready though. I'm really happy with those 47's. Well glad I got them. Are you going to the convention on the Saturday? cheers Neil
  8. Nice shots Peter. Like the sun set shot. Cheers Neil
  9. Great pictures Gary. Is that a 40 x 20 speaker you have in the bottom of the 27? I wasn't sure there would be enough space so I started off with the standard 23 in the body. I might do what you've done there now I know there's enough room. cheers Neil
  10. Hi Peter, the distillery buildings are looking good. I'll be keen to watch this progress. cheers Neil
  11. Thanks Gary, I only went down to Scalpay the once and must have missed it. I did think it looked familiar. Cracking photo of the 37 at Kyle station there. cheers Neil
  12. Looking good Gary, I was going to ask you about the picture of the rusted boiler from Harris. Where about on Harris was this? It's not where the abondoned whaling station was, was it? I used to live on Harris and am trying to remember where that was. cheers Neil
  13. Nice pictures Peter, The Cortina's really good. cheers Neil
  14. I thought I recognised it. Light would have quite a good effect where your layout is. Hopefully my next trip will be "after dark" so I can see your lighting effects. cheers Neil
  15. Nice pictures Rick. I particularly liked the night shots. Is that the station building you were working on when we popped in? Looking good. cheers Neil
  16. Very nice Doug. Looking good. Cheers Neil
  17. Hi Gary, have just found this thread and read it from the start. Very impressed with your distillery and station buildings. Also like your layout very nice and really captures the area well. cheers Neil
  18. Yes, thanks for today Pete. Good to see what's been happening on your layout. cheers Neil
  19. Hi Pete, you didn't but I was going to ask. see you then. Jeff, I'll give you a ring during the week to see if you're still going or not. cheers Neil
  20. Hi Pete, so you didn't notice any DCC features on my layout then. I have an old roco lokmaus DCC system you can borrow if you like till you get some dosh together. If you want to let me know before next week and I can drop it off when I come down to see your layout. Sound in 7mm would be great as you can use the Loksound XL decoders. Dearer but more powerful and more space inside the locos for bigger speakers. cheers Neil
  21. Hi Dave, as I'm from Fife, I have used Waverly station a lot over the years. You really have done an excellent job of capturing the look. Very impressive. Coach work is excellent too. cheers Neil
  22. Hi Alan, thanks for that info. That does sound like a really good idea. Especially for those deep sounds. I'd like to try that myself one day when I get a surround sound system. Cheers Neil
  23. Hi Alan, is that the Howes one? I'm interested as I was going to order one. cheers Neil
