  1. Thanks for that, yes the van is at Norwich sometimes
  2. The way to remember it is BR the lower of the signals is bottom is for the right hand route As regards the main signal been mistakenly taken instead of the disc an identical arrangement albeit colour light exists at Norwich to this day
  3. I can't really get nostalgic about much of the privatisation era,too much of the equipment and infrastructure that I knew and loved were dispensed with sometimes for no reason by the 'new brooms' brought in by some companies to sweep us old dinosaurs away!!
  4. I would say that 20 lever operated which ever signal the route is set for. It's not that common for junction signals to be stacked on passenger lines but certainly within the rules. There was a similar signal at Battersby
  5. The dmu is departing platform 2 normally. The middle road is controlled by the disc. Platform 1 the top signal is for the left hand route and the lower on for the right hand route meaning using the crossover further up
  6. The 03 picture does appear to be a freight working. There are pictures and a film of the last ever train in 1967 with 03 D2051which was a special for demolition contrators ,the actual demolition of the line was done without trains
  7. Shame that's stone pete. Its hard to find buildings for our area . Mind to put the mill on would need the board extended
  8. Thanks Brian Will have to try to work out a track plan Easiest way will be to draw it and photograph it.
  9. Thanks for the Norfolk esq compliments can't really reply in the dialect , as I ain't be from round ere!! Would love a windmill like Cley but you can't get them and would be a bit of a challenge to scratch build. It was hard enough to to learn flint walling as no one does them either
  10. Dance this world away... Rick Springfield
  11. Didn't 70013 go under it's own steam to Norwich? I understood this was the last 'normal' steam working on BR
  12. Love the early montego EFi, very rare nowadays, especially with digital dash
  13. Die hard the hunter.... Def leopard
  14. The station stayed pretty derelict for a long while this and the road the other side of this platform have been the only lines in use since 1970 Note the unit only has one red light lit. I'm pretty sure that the rules changed around this time to display two .prior to this two red lights indicated the royal train! Something that irritates me with new models and preserved DMUs
  15. Fantastic pictures, it looks like a lot of the track was still in regular use judging by how shiney it is. Looking at the run round loop it seems some loco hauled services were still using it, parcels service? Finally I didn't realise that the excursion platform was taken out before the others
  16. Summoned by bells. Big big train
