    Model in 2mm Finescale but appreciate good modelling in any scale.

    Where did 'smokebox dart' come from? Aren't they just smokebox door handles so why not just call them what they are?

      Isn't the 'dart' the bit inside the smokebox that locks the door shut?

      The dart (which looks a bit like an arrow head) is the rod that tightens up against the bar inside the smokebox when the handle is tightened.
