Hello all.
Just a pointer....
I have started to sell the stock from the layout.
First up are the three un motorised LIMA parcel/post office conversions.
They are on eBay with four days left.
Starting bids from .99p

Bought a Hornby sentinel yesterday, had it chipped at L&B, not weathered, this will be a spot hire loco just to add variety.
Runs a treat, but the small wheelbase may prove troublesome on the point work. Especially the diamond crossing....Fingers crossed.
For those interested, I've started another thread on the next potential layout. Follow link
http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/98978-tbm-ring-segment-plant/
The chances are there will be very little added to this thread until I get some of chris nevards pictures, he is arranging to come in the next month or so. Just the odd bit of scenic work. Thanks for following,
Paul.

I was working there last week, and looking at the engine shed that is still standing.
There is track still laid into travis Perkins yard and into old forgemasters.

The first picture is troubling me?
Saw a pair of 20s at treforest so comfortable with that image.
To your knowledge Have I been to the first locations?
-
Yep. I'm going for mountain ash. And the pub by Joan's house in the background.
But I thought the station was on the other side of the river, same as the NCB lines
So whose trackbed is the new alignment on?
-
My first thought is Mountain Ash.
But I'm not sure.
I will make enquiries.....

Me,me,me. I know, I know, ask me, sir?
The building on the extreme left gives it away, that was Welsh mowers.......
So not to spoil it I'll leave it open.

Had a visit from Ben Brown last week, and we ran the odd train and chatted , three hours flew by.
Took some pictures with my new canon but I'm crap and need lessons,
We discovered that I had not wired up the fiddle yard, so today, had a running session, soldered up the droppers, and put up some more detailing, need to add more signs around the plant, but it's getting there.
Have seen my cl60. And the cl66 and R/F cl 09. All being weathered by Adrian at Lord and Butler.
They will look the business, cracked and picked up a Hornby sentinel as well, having the chip fitted this week, but not weathering it, one of the two pristine locos to run on the layout.
Pictures are back to the iPad using the layout lighting this time.

Still need to borrow your wheel cleaner, my EWS 08 wheels are bumping. It's never had a proper clean even when it ran on castle works.
Word on the street from Gandalph is October, keep you posted.
And.... Keep the weekend 7 th and 8 th May next year free,
For a trip to Derby.......yeah baby.

Thanks Ben.
All the pictures I took are blurred and not at all in focus. That's why nowt appeared of your stock.
I am having another try at photogrificating the layout this week. So once I've mastered it, come back and we can waste another 3hrs giggling and mi behaving in my loft.

Nice modelling. I'm an advocate of recycling too.
Are you considering weathering the depot floor?
I have a paper Tarmac area on my layout from scale scenes, and I fancy adding stains to it, just not sure yet how to go about it.
Cracking.
Paul.

Back on the centre support, would empty 20ft containers get stacked 7 high?
Said no wife ever.
I'm toying with cutting the middle out of the support from the 4th container to the vallance. Using a multi tool.
This will leave two sections which I will disguise as steel towers with lights and cctv gantry.
A bit chunky maybe but it could do the trick.
Don't for one minute think I haven't paid for the time spent in the loft.
Relentless earache. That money, wine, flowers won't curtail.
To that end there's been no ACTION for a good few days now. Doh.
