  1. And I thought the were going to have a peaceful weekend. Great pictures David.
  2. That is one tasty Camera David. Goes some way to explain your consistently good pictures. Thanks for the constant updates.
  3. What an expression on the face (P1500359). That is one grumpy Dover creature/insect.
  4. I suppose the Juice Rail coming from 10 chain curve will be replaced, the progress on this job is breath taking. Soon be trains running through to Folkestone and Deal again.
  5. Sorry I got carried away, my father fought with the Gurkha's and I have nothing but respect for them.. Stuart.
  6. What a nerve, perhaps its the Gurkhas justifying there existence.
  7. It is astonishing how much work those guys do, I missed a couple of days and Raft one is being built. Thanks for posting so frequently.
  8. I wonder how old all that Brickwork is? An interesting development finding that.
  9. f How well I remember my days working as a Messenger on Dover Marine station, one of my tasks was visiting all the local Signal Boxes and the Ferry Shunters Foreman with "Traffic Notices". I also took "Telegrams" on and off the ferry's for the switchboard. My first job from leaving school. Now all has gone, the boxes, yards, Lyons siding and the track leading to the Marine station. Not forgetting The Town yard, Clarence sidings and the Train Ferry yard and Dock. At least the Priory and Main line remains but Dover has lossed an awful lot of Railway. Thanks for all the comprehensive pictures David.
  10. In the last picture posted it was a "slow worm" crossing your path. Interesting but not as nice as the Butterfly.
  11. Again a comprehensive record of the work in progress to date. Just for the record are there many others recording progress?
  12. It seems to have a high "Iron Ore" content going by the colour. An interesting contrast to the chalk of the cliffs, quite striking in fact. The Greensand Ridge is a new one on me.
  13. Some very good pictures from yesterday David. Thanks for posting the Dover views. I liked your model of the cliff stairs, don't forget the Allotments..........
  14. Well David now we all know what's going on down there. I was struck by the clifftop pictures of the allotments. They are so well placed, perfect for modelling purposes, you must include them on your layout.
  15. A good day's photographs David. Thanks again for all your time and trouble spent recording this historical event.
  16. Pile Driving elevated to an Art form. This job must be costing millions of pounds so the line must be highly thought of. No fear of this closing in the future.
  17. You have had a very productive day Peter, some good pictures today. Love the other side of the tunnel views.
  18. That's a nice view of Dover's Western docks (what's left of them), very panoramic view.
