What's silly about it? It's intended to provide a more engaging point of landing for new/casual users rather than the intimidating index page - where do people find the good stuff in that format? There's a navigation bar (always been there) which gives access to existing and new pages. It's also a stage in a process where RMweb will see more and more content.

But, having had a look - I quite like it. (I think the time/day stamp for each post can be dropped though. )
