With just under a week to it’s soft debut at Liverpool MRS exhibition, Inchyra Mill has been set up for final test running. Static grass and other small detail have been added and low relief buildings slotted into place.

One or two minor electrical gremlins have been found and sorted. More running planned this week to prove stock as much as track & electrics.

Wonderfully atmospheric layout. Looking forward to seeing more in due course.

I found the layout before I found this thread on RMweb as I was watching it earlier today at the Risborough show.  Excellent/superb scenic work and the track layout is an excellent design for an operational layout with bags of really good shunting potential in what I would describe as a 'genuinely purposeful' manner.

Some running problems for one of the operators but otherwise working well and with very carefully placed uncoupling magnets which had clearly been thought through from an operating viewpoint.    Definitely the best layout in the show although while there wasn't any really close competition there were several pretty good layouts that were well worth seeing including one, in a different scale, with some equally good and well observed scenic work.

So h keep an eye out for it on the exhibition circuit as it's well worth seeing.

Thank you.

the wayward operator was probably me though we’ve both had our ups & downs today. Whilst it’s been set up & run, it’s not really done a 7 hour exhibition sequence so we’ve a few niggles to fix (the odd misaligned rail for example) and a bit of refinement to some wagons to make them less prone to buffer locking but as the day went on, we got to know & trust stock & sidings and it ran well.

the Faller system was a great addition too and worked well with our solitary van (more lorries in production)
