BR traction instructor
…I’d be looking at some continental wagon books/images (probably Belgian) and comparing them with this. Some similarities here… https://paulbartlett.zenfolio.com/belgianferryflat/hfbfa0ce BeRTIe Edited May 16, 2022 by BR traction instructor 2
62613
Is it some sort of engineer's vehicle?
eastwestdivide
Ferry wagon - I'm sure that's an anchor symbol, and looking at the larger version on the flickr site, you can make out the writing "Société Belgo-Anglaise des Ferry Boats" that some of those carried. RMweb Premium PaulCheffus Posted May 16, 2022 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted May 16, 2022 (edited) Hi I hadn't thought of a Ferry wagon and like 62613 I thought it might be an Engineers vehicle. Having now looked through the diagram books I'm pretty sure its diagram E004. Thank you to all who responded. Cheers Paul Edited May 16, 2022 by PaulCheffus Added possible diagram number
Fat Controller
The first wagon bears looking at, as well; it's a Plate wagon carrying what looks very much like Pig Iron. These seemed, despite the number of purpose-built wagons, to be the preferred vehicle for this commodity.
