D6975
I had a day off today, so went up to Patchway to photograph the 11.02 Taunton - Cardiff. As I got there 67005/6 went through on the Royal Train just as I was getting the camera out - bowled. Then the expected 57s turned out to be 66402 and 57309, the 66 on the Cardiff end. Apparently it was on it on thursday too, and a 66/7 was on it one day last week! What's up with the 57s? Are they as susceptible to failing in the heat as I am - I was wilting after less than an hour today. I haven't downloaded the phots yet - I'll post one tomorrow. RMweb Gold Captain Kernow Posted June 27, 2010 RMweb Gold Share Posted June 27, 2010 And here was 66721 on 17th June: Clearly someone couldn't have had that much confidence in the 66, though, because another locomotive was waiting in the Down bay on standby...
