meatloaf
Hi there Im having a slight issue with the lighting on a 101 Running in one forwards the headlights work and headcode box works but the tail lights on the trailer dont. Running backwards all the lights work as expected, headlights and headcode on trailer car and tail lights on the motor car. Ive turned the interior lighting off using the switch underneath but i did note the interior lights only worked in the trailer when going backwards. I did wonder if it could be the decoder im using ( guagemaster onmi 21 pin ) so i tried it on DC and its the same. Could it be a faulty drawbar? Not sure as i wouldn't have thought any lights at all on the trailer would work if it was the drawbar. Or could it simply be a faulty model? SRman
Could it be that the interior and the tail lights connectors have been swapped?
OOgaugeJaf
The drawbar is appalling. Difficult to fit and my first attempt resulted in a damaged bar. It could be that. I hope you can get spares?
Paul-H
The drawbar is a stupid idea, much better to do as a separate unit, like they do with their 108, you do need two decoders if going DCC but they can be quite cheap, they do spares though but you do go through them so buy a couple of packs. meatloaf
Could it be that the interior and the tail lights connectors have been swapped? Are the connectors on the drawbar or on the pcb on top of the motor car? Ive ordered a pack of spare drawbars in the hope that fixes it. But yes they are very difficult to fit and i do worry about breaking something trying to fit them

RMweb Premium Francis deWeck Posted December 1, 2017 RMweb Premium Share Posted December 1, 2017 If you use the connectors meant for the 150 you can achieve close coupling as well Agreed, these are being introduced across my Bachmann DMU's; I have found that fitting these drawbars require careful handling, but when fitted improve the appearance and that the close coupling works well. The other DMU's might well have been designed for these drawbars, even if the second/third car required an individual decoder. The radii of my layout varies from 24" to 30+", so it may be that radii > 24" might cause a problem.
