JohnH
Does anyone produce yellow circle 'Circuit' Tranfers in 4mm scale? I'm after the yellow circles with 'Circuit' written in black with a black arrow pointing downwards. Thanks for any help.

Steamport Southport
Fox do them. https://fox-transfers.co.uk/maintenance-panels-circuit-markers-etc They were for wagons that were on a fixed route such as from a colliery to a power station. Some details here. http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/gansg/6-livy/br/9-br-4864.htm Jason

RMweb Gold The Johnster Posted April 10, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted April 10, 2018 I was first aware of them on banana van traffic from Barry Docks in the early 60s, but when did they first come into use?
Mark Saunders
I was first aware of them on banana van traffic from Barry Docks in the early 60s, but when did they first come into use? I suspect that it was at the same time Darvic wagon labels were applied to the label clips giving details of Circuit or Return to instructions! Fat Controller
I was first aware of them on banana van traffic from Barry Docks in the early 60s, but when did they first come into use? The yellow ones on Banana vans were a lot larger; the smaller ones were normally on the wagon side above the wagon label holder. The latter would often have a fixed plate with instructions as to where the empty wagon should be consigned. I'd suggest they started to appear at the back end of the 1960s.
