Well ladies and gentlemen, I know I said I'd get a scanner! Unfortunately, stuff happened. I needed a full chain and sprocket set for Alice , my Indian Royal Enfield. Problem with that is, having been diagnosed with the 'Big C' I'm having to watch the finances a bit, statuary sick pay only goes so far!! I've only just started on this road so I'm exploring what I can get.

 ###### to that, that is not important to you out in RMWeb land!!

Here, as promised, are the next selection of shots from 'The Park' as nobody but me and Mike Wiltshire referred to it in 1974.

All sorts here. My problem is,

'Lord and Lady Pakes moaning again?!!!'

My problem is, my phone turns shots up and down, wiily nilly and I can't get them to go right way up when I post.

I do 'scatter gun', sorry Americanism!!

I do shot gun technique and take shots with the 'phone a t all angles and use the ones that come out the right way up!!

I'll download some stuff and write abot each after I'm sure it is going to work.

Right, I'm compltetely banjaxed with what has downloaded!!

I'll post this, see what happens and post a list when I see what happens.

I do not get on with tech!!!

Right!!!

 I completely Horlixed that didn't I?!!!!!!!

I'll endeavour to post what each shot is.

I apologise for the duplications!!!

'Selling England By The Pound 'has finished, need some more tunes.

Was going to do some King Crimson but I got the urge for Prefab Sprout 'Steve McQueen'

Back to shots!

Shot one- 'Hornby' Sentinel pair hauling CPC hoppers away from CPC.

The infamous Turners Asbestos Cement Planet and some Prestflos.

Two shots of the CPC Barclay. Note ,once again, all the Parkside or Hornby hoppers, the cladding on the boiler and, most important, the white boiler suited driver!!!

Lord and Lady, I'm getting obsessed with that!!!!

Two shots of Hudswell D10.

This is right up the top of the 'Park near Trafford Park 'Non Swing Bridge!!'

Only timeI ever saw a loco up there.

Note the vans, Parkside.

This is now a venue, I saw Polly Harvey there. I'd waited a long time to see her live and I'm afraid I was not impressed!

Still play the albums. One off gig won't stop me licking an artist!!

If you walk in the gap between the wagons, you will find some cool pointwork in stone setts.

You've got to find somewhere to park first. Not as easy as it was when I took this shot!!

The Esso Sentinel.

The one that almost got away!!!

I tried to get a shot of this beast for ages.

This is Hornby with extreme weathering!! I'm still trying to duplicate this!!!!!!!!

What I didn't take were shots of the tank wagons.

Total Airfix and some beautiful Bachmanns!!!!!

Iknow, I know!!!

Please cut me some slack, I was only 17 and copping the last loco on the @Park I hadn't got!!!!

Note the Hillman Hunter Station Wagon.

This makes sense in a minute.

I was asked about Kelloggs. Here are three shots of the Sentinel Twins 'Doing The Deed' with the Kelloggs vans.

Hornby and Bachmann.

The yellow 1100? The first car I did 'The Park' in. The Hunter was the next motor my parents got.

Various duplications of the Sentinel Twins hauling hoppers out of CPC. This meant that the Barclay was ill!!

Duplication of a Kelloggs shot. Note, if you model this time of The Twins, put the bicycle on the footplate!!!

Masses of duplicated stuff!!!

There are two shots of Mode Wheel shed. The hub of Manchester Ship Canal Railway operations.

At this time, most of the work was on the 'Park.

The last two shots are of the 'Pick up train.' heading away from Taylors Steel, Turners Cement  and a portrait of 'Arunell Castle. Possibly the jewel in the crown, together with her sister Ainwick Castle on the 'Park.

There are umpteen duplicates. I got completely turned around when posting this so I apologise!!

Enjoy children.

I'll do a proper job when I get a scanner or in May when I stay with my dear friend Coachbogie for the Middlesborough Modex and nick his scanner.

                                         Enjoy,

                                                Chris.

It just occurred to me, it is 40 odd years ago that I took these shots!!!

Looking at them I can still hear stuff.

The 'Twins' total wall of sound getting the Kelloggs train underway, but underneath, when they came past, you knew they were chain drive!!!!!

If anybody is like me and wants a kit of Arundel or Alnwick Castle, send an email to Mike, 'The Industrial Diesel God' Edge.

I think I might have laid that on a bit much!!!!!!!!

I have been 'Poking The Bear' so to speak for a while!!

Why don't you scratch it?

Come on, I've still got Impetus stuff to build!!

If Mike kits it , it will be eminently buildable!!!!

right, I'll get my coat and go. Prefab Sprout has finished ans I feel I need some Crimson!!!

                        Bye, Bye,

                                         C.

If you prop the prints up against a box or something, and take your phone photos that way, the phone might find it easier to work out which way is up ↓

And don't chuck them out afterwards, as there's probably better detail to be had if someone can be a**ed to scan them with a scanner, even if they're prints on textured paper.

Austin 1100. Best small car suspension ever. Even better than Citroen GS in my opinion. No car ever brought a bigger smile to my face than floating along in one of these. If I could have one today, I might even enjoy driving again.

Thank you for posting these gems, and I don't just mean the car!

Amazing photo's - thank you.

Mr. Edge - If you ever do the MSC large Hudswell Clarke you can definitely put me down for one, even though it's 10 years after my timeframe!
