E3109
I was just wondering if there are any UK-based retailers who supply the range of Archer Transfers, and more specifically those who tend to have a presence at model railway shows. I've been to quite a few exhibitions lately, but no luck so far. I know there are US-based sellers on eBay but I'd prefer to see them in the flesh, and then purchase accordingly. Thanks in advance E3109
Mark Saunders
Several UK sellers try google! I'm sure that DC Supplies stock them!
Bluemonkey presents....
I can definitely recommended them for the ease of use and appearance. See my 'herecules' thread (middle pages ish) from my signature. UK based shop, not sure of your area, but they have a website; (mainly military modelling) https://historexagents.com/
John Tomlinson
Several UK sellers try google! I'm sure that DC Supplies stock them! Yes they do. However they don't have stocks of all types, and seem to allow stocks to drop a fair way before doing a big order, presumably because of the costs from the USA. Probably worth contacting them and asking directly if you know what you want. They do appear at a few shows, and are very helpful in conversation. I fear direct ordering to the US by an individual could work out very expensive, with handling and postage possibly doubling the amount you end up paying. John. RMweb Premium Dave John Posted December 14, 2018 RMweb Premium Share Posted December 14, 2018 I ordered some direct from the USA earlier this year since no UK supplier had the size I wanted. Goods 54 USD , shipping 10 USD. Arrived in a week.

Jeff Smith
I recently used the O scale version of these https://www.micromark.com/HO-scale-decals-with-raised-3D-rivets-and-other-surface-details Not sure what Micromark's shipping charges to the UK might be though. brack
I always used to order direct, as it was $2 postage worldwide, but the other year they were forced to increase their postage costs, especially international ones (fair enough, they were honest and transparent about why in their emails) so now if you're only after a sheet or two its usually cheaper to buy from a UK supplier. I've used DC supplies and some eBay military modelling stockists. If you are buying several sheets it might be worth going direct (as Dave John says) but you then run the risk of being stung for import taxes (fair enough) and the ridiculous handling charge (extortionate). As a final point, if you buy a generic/miscellaneous rivet sheet (eg. 88016 for my O scale narrow gauge locos) you get a lot more rivets on a sheet than if you buy those claiming to be a certain scale (eg. 1/48). You can work out which rivet sheets are compatible in size by calculating the scale sizes of the rivets in question. Although the double rows of staggered rivets and the circular ones for tank cars are worth paying the extra for!

I asked micromark 4 years ago and they wanted about $30 to send an A4 (well, us equivalent) sheet to the UK, so I declined to order. If they've changed their policy/shipping prices their rivets are cheaper. Reviews in the US suggest the micromark ones are absolutely fine in use, but slightly less domed and less consistently formed, although the reviewer was looking through very high magnification to compare them. Jeff Smith
The rivets were fine but it was difficult to loose the cut edges on plain surfaces like the edge of the roof, but on top of simulated strapping was ok as it comes as a double row.
