I have the Bachmann large praire, was going to scratch build something on it but not so good at that, so looking for engines to go on it. Most of my engines are 0-4-0s, so need a small ish locos to join the fleet with more wheels.

Well its been a long time since posted here

Today i have finished the 3 locos they have been fitted with battery powered flashing led on the roof I have put the switch behind the rear light fitting so you just have to slit something in to the fitting & push the switch

i have been building 2 Backwoods Miniatues O-9 locos

The 1st is the one with the engine on show & this make very little room for the DCC chip but there is room for a Digitrax DZ126

heres the chip fitted to the Kato 11-103 chassis

& here you can see how little room this is

But the chip sits were the Sump of the engine casting should go

so i have removed the sump

Now the engine sits better

with the engine i have replaced the hoze to the radiater with thick brass wire & also driled a 0.7mm hole though the bulkhead all the way to the engine so thw i can pin this in plae once painted

Still need to add some more detail like the fan, exhaust & airfilter but heres how thinks are at Lunch time

by the way on my screan in the photos the loco is over twice the size of the model
