mozzers O16.5 & On30 workbench plus O-9

With brack over on the NGRM forum sorting me with a tender top from a Bachmann 2-6-0 & as i have a full tender to work fromi have made a start making a underframe for the tender of my 2-8-0

 

I am using under frame from a Bachmann on30 tank wagon I did not like the look of this wagon to me its to long

 

So i removed the tank then shotend the deck & frames

Once the tender body arrives i will need to make / find a tool box for the back

well the Tender top arrived in todays post so work can again start on the tender for the 2-8-0

 

i cut a coffee stirrer to fill in the front of the tender then glued this && a OO Dapal rectank body to form the oil tank

As can be seen the plack has been cut so all been well once finished it will look weather worn

 

 

& here is the body sat on the chassie which has already been painted

Got some more work done to thr tender as once Monday is here its back building for others to make a wage

 

I still need to make/find a tool box for the back of the tender then a weathering all over

My work bench is full of Standard Gauge at the moment but when i need a break i will be working on narrow thinks & once i have bitl 2 oo9 signals i will be building this the kit is by N Brass here in the UK http://www.nbrasslocos.co.uk/index.html

got on well today here were i am up to in 2 posts

 

frames folded up

here i have fitted barings & attached to the floor removed the axle box brasing & replaced them with .45 wire

i then added thhe detail parts to the w-irons

And added the footboard bracets followed by the foot boards

then it was time to buid the tool box this is still loose as i will nodify it to take the DCC chip

part 2

 

next was taking the body off the chassis of the Matchbox Model T ford

so after taking the roof off i drilled out the rivits under the chassis

i removed the riveits from under the part with the seat in

then cut the radiator level with the engine cover & clipping off the tails of the wire that is the window frame then i checked how it shat on the rail chassis

thats it for today

next is build up the bull bars & motor/gearbox then fit the rear brack shoes then cut the body to sit over the motor
